Recommend me an upgrade from the Tornado

Hi everyone, I haven't posted much on here since I first started vaping in March of 2010. Thanks to this site, I avoided the mistake of starting with a crappy PV and subsequently giving up or upgrading immediately. I've tried clearomizers and the tank system, but in my opinion, NOTHING beats direct-dripping with a low-res atty, so that's what I do 100% of the time.
I've been using the Tornado from the beginning, and although I still absolutely love it (don't even ever think about analogs anymore), I've been considering upgrading to something new as of late.
I've been considering trying the Tornado adapter (not sure what it's called) where you connect it to the battery and adjust the voltage up to 6 volts. Would I notice a big improvement there?
Otherwise, I come here for you all to recommend me my next (and first) upgrade. Thanks in advance!

Don't forget that dripping has changed radically now with the introduction of Bonuts (stainless steel mesh donuts). You can drip 10 or 12 drops now, not the old 3 or whatever. Ideally a 1" 510-to-510 extender plus a drip shield are also used, and that's a great system that lasts longer than a 510 atty-cartridge setup and with better results.

A simple upgrade would take you to 4 volt vaping. That means getting a genuine big battery mod that takes an 18650 cell, and the AW red battery does this particular job very well. With an LR end fitting such as a DC carto, you will get a lot more hit than the eGo type can deliver (even the Riva). Dripping on either an LR or SR atty will give a lot more power than the Tornado as you're maybe half a volt higher (less voltage drop under load, with a big cell), and just 0.2 v makes a noticeable difference.

An eGo booster (the widget you described) is one way to go, but it may not fit the Tornado. Battery life won't equal that from a big-batt mod as size is everything in a battery - not just charge life, but also the power deliverable.

It all depends on your budget where you go next. In your position I might get two mods if I could afford it: an SB to run cartos, dripping, or any end fitting. A Reo Maxi for liquid feed to a bonut atty. Both use the same battery, an 18650.

5 volts or VV is nice but you'd still want to own a decent '3.7 volt' job (in reality 4v much of the time) at some stage. I started with 5 volts but came back to big-batt 3.7 v mods due to the extended battery life and the big, solid feel. 4 volts is plenty for lots of uses (combinations of liquid / end fitting / time of day / mood).
