Last time I placed an order with TPA, I grabbed some of this "M" type flavoring... it was described as an ingredient that made tobacco vapes more authentic... I got the impression it was a subtle, background flavor... so I got some...
When it arrived and I was doing some DIY, I found this "M" type flavoring to be anything but subtle... it was as subtle as marmite, worchester sauce or beef gravy... it is STRONG... a very toasted, nutty flavor... good or bad... it's strong and will overwhelm better than it will compliment etc...

I am not a fan...

...anyway... it's months later and I have finally gotten around to trying some of the most raved about vendors at this time...
I placed THREE orders with THREE very good vendors I haven't tried yet...

...and I ordered the standard menthol tobacco vape from each along with another flavor or two that everyone else is chatting about...

much to my dismay, all three vendors use this "M" Type flavoring in their tobacco vapes...

I won't mention the vendors because they revealed this to me in confidence... and again, nothing wrong with this flavoring... in fact, so many of you must like this taste... because there have been positive reviews out the wazoo and these liquids are disappearing from their sites quickly...

My problem however is this... now I am scared to order tobacco vapes... because if it has this m flavor in it, I know I'll hate it...and none of these vendors described the tobacco flavor as strong... there were not hints in the descriptions... and rarely will vendors disclose this information... they fear their secret recipe getting out.

My other issue is... how can vendors advertise their tobacco vapes as unique, authentic, original etc when the primary taste in the tobacco vape is an ordinary flavoring from TPA? Maybe give TPA some credit.

I went through the same thing with flavourart flavorings...

there are only so many flavorings out there... i wish there was some way of knowing what vendors used, so I could find the ones I know I'll like... instead, I throw money away.

the "other" liquids I ordered from these vendors were quite good... it was just the tobacco ones that were unvapabe to me...

it's me... I know... subjectivity...

so I'm out like $45-$50....

anyway, anyone else know what I am talking about in regard to the M type flavoring? like it? hate it?

Well, as I see it, there are really only a few options.

Number one would be awareness. The more people that know of this particular flavor, the better the chances are that you could receive feedback prior to purchasing juices from a vendor. Word of mouth.

Number two seems trivial, but, try single samples before moving on to larger bottles. This is, of course, probably silly, as you most likely have already done so.

Number three, the least likely to happen. Having vendors reveal flavors used in their juices. Honestly, probably will never happen.

And I guess there is always number four, stop trying new things :D But that would be boring, no?

I'm sorry to hear that the results of your adventuring for new juices turned up bleak and dismal. I wish I knew of this flavor you speak of, so that I may add more productive input. As it is, this is all I've got at the moment.

I'm right there with you LT. I despise the smell and taste of "M" tobacco. I tried 1 drop of it in 10 ml of base once and it made me sick. I could smell it in my nostrils for hours. I don't like any tobacco flavor that tastes nutty. I like the fresh leaf taste and so far, I've only found that type of taste in Virginia, TA and Dark Vapure. I certainly do not like the Chinese note that appears in every single Chinese tobacco that I've tried. It makes me ill but there are many people here who love the China made flavors.

I think this must be the stuff I abhor! I will name one company that has the perfumey taste: Joyetech Cappacino that came with a starter kit. If that had been my first kit and flavor, I would not be here now typing this. I would have quit right then and there. I even let it sit a bit, and NOPE. That stuff makes me ill.

Anyone know if it is the "m" type stuff? Or am I still searching for the culprit.

Why the secrecy?

Hehe i had bought that M Type flavor about 8 months ago and tried to no good result in mixing it. 1%/2%/5% it tastes like pine tree's/pinesol to me. I nearly gagged the first time i tried it. First i smelled it and i should of known better but i thought to myself some stuff just smells bad and i should at least try to taste it. Ughhhh worst vape i ever tried and im not even that bad at mixing. I since have moved on from TPA flavors, out of the 6 i bought none of them really did anything for me. Either too light in flavor or TOO STRONG!

I know what you mean. Haven't tried "m" but I can't take TPA stuff for some reason. That "m" flavor might be what I can't stand in one vendor's juice, I"m gonna pm you the name. :)

The problem is, vendors don't tell what flavoring vendors they use, and I'm about to go DIY if I don't get better answers about what I am vaping.......$45 $50 is a lot of DIY juice. :)

no knock on tpa... great company... love them... I've just noticed this flavor is being used more frequently. ...and I feel so suckered by it at the moment.... It stinks up the room, my clothes... my nostrils too ;-)

all said... it is being described by reviewers as a "good pipe" tobacco... robust... authentic... people seem to like it... so heh...
