The escalation of this is only the beginning :) There is a time where it drops off and you can deal with a new mod or something every couple months. At first, it's hard though haha.

I haven't bought a new mod in over a year. I've only bought 3 tanks during that same time frame with an average cost of about $30 per tank.

I'm getting a new Snow Wolf 200W and Freemax Starre Pro for my birthday, but I'm not spending my money on those.

That's sort of like me. I buy tanks/rdas more often than mods. I bought a Reo in January then I bought a Hexohm v2.1 for my birthday in May. I got an iStick 50w as well, but it was cheap enough. Part of me wants to buy stuff to do videos on, but I don't want to buy stuff I don't want, so I just wait. Like all of the temp control stuff doesn't interest me, so I know no money will be spent on one for me personally.

It's... difficult. I was spending so much money upgrading something each month - batteries, tanks, batteries, tanks... I finally got to a point where I don't actually need anything but there is that itch in the back of my mind telling me that there must be something I can buy that I "need". It's very hard to fight that when you're used to spending a couple of hundred a month on juice and equipment. My only purchase last month was a bit of juice and a Sigelei min 30w. This month it will probably be a new Subtank mini. The shinyitis is really trying to pull me in with all this temp control stuff right now. So far, I'm resisting.

For me it was simply that my vape style had changed.

My first tank was the Aspire Nautilus, bought because I needed a tank to use at work and got tired of fiddling with my Kayfuns all of the time. The BVC coils came out, I tried it, and felt if would do the job. Good tank for vaping in the office. Good vapor production without being so much that I'm fogging up the room and setting off the fire alarms, good flavor, and easy to maintain.

Then I started lung hitting more and wanted something for home that I could do a bit more with, so I bought an EHPro Squape R. LOVE the tank. By far the easiest RTA to build on and most flexible anything I have found. I can do virtually anything I want with it. Mouth to lung, straight lung hit, single or dual coil, high VG juices, use nickle coils, any wick including SS mesh, anything. LOVE IT.

And my most recent purchase was the Freemax Starre. Simply the best subohm tank out there. Fantastic flavor, HUGE vapor, really easy to use, and the coils last a LONG time. I've had that tank almost a month and I'm still using the original coil. Because of the much better airflow and longevity of the coils this is quickly replacing my Squape R. The only problem with it is that it puts out too much vapor to use at work.

Basically, I'm not the tootle puffer I used to be, so I needed some new tanks to fit the higher watt, higher vapor style I'm now vaping with. However, after the Snow Wolf 200W and Freemax Starre Pro I doubt I'll be need or even want anything else for a LONG time.

Forget the Subtank Mini. Go get yourself the Starre Pro. Puts the Subtank to shame with the flavor and volume of vapor it produces. Go big or go home.

And it has both kanthal and nickel coils, so if you get a temperature control mod you've already got the perfect tank for it.

...I browse Fasttech every day... and I've been vaping for 2 years. I'm starting to feel nostalgic, and thinking of buying some Ego's and a CE4... I think it's the shinyitis disease relapse... I am past the ego's.

I'm not so much a mod junkie. More of a tank junkie. I have 2 mods and 11 tanks now and I'm just under a year into vaping. I think I'm about to invest in a VV/VW mod though. Woudl be nice to have 3 options without switching tanks instead of just 2, plus I am curious about the big debate. "Do yoy get bigger clouds from mechs or regulated mods?" I guess I'm going to see for myself.
