Hello everyone,

So I have decided to give up analog cigs and take the leap into ecigs and took the plunge and ordered these 'eGo-V v2 Mega Variable Voltage 1200mAh Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette and RG400 Bottom Coil Glass Clearomizer (4.0mL)' hope they get here safely and soon. Feeling excited, nervous, afraid and curious, are just a few of them about the switch.

I am a pack a day smoker, got sick and tired of the price of cigs. Have smoked for 17 years, with a few short times of quiting in between. Want the future of my health not being an issue with smoking.

So any advice about the switch, encouraging and 'just watch out' type advice? My plan - charge up kit once it arrives, smoke my last analog throw all the ash trays/lighters and start with ecigs. :D

Watch YouTube videos on how to fill and care for your tank, and read about your tank on the forum. There is a bit of a learning curve with this stuff. You did buy some liquid for your tank, right?

I have an eGo-V and it works great. When finding the right voltage, start out low and bump it up a little until you have the flavor you want. It's easy to get burnt hits when the voltage is too high.

Hi Stanlang,

Congrats on the decision to give up smoking, that is awesome. Here are a couple of tips that may help.

Vaping is NOT the same as smoking. While visually and habitually it is similar, the vapor does not actually fully mimic a cigarette in feel or taste. Many vapers do not get the same satisfaction from vaping as they do smoking, which in turn can lead to more vaping ... it is easy, especially in the beginning, to vape MUCH more than you smoked. Once you get used to vaping it will level out, but there is no telling how long that will take.

As a PAD smoker, I would suggest you start with 18mg nic liquid, and MAYBE keep a little bit of 24mg on hand for really tough cravings. This will help get you through. You may even find that dropping nic content to 12mg is necessary if you find yourself vaping excessively. While vaping is def much safer than smoking, it is still possible to over nic yourself. Many of us here have done it at least once. Also, drink LOTS of water, staying hydrated is very important when vaping.

HTH!

Hi there, and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping! :D

I have the v2 Mega also, and have had it for the past 3 months, and I must say that if this is the first e-cig you have tried, you are in for a treat my friend, the eGo style e-cigs are one of the most popular styles of e-cigs out there, I don't think you will be disappointed. I cannot say much for the RG400 as I have never used it, and quite frankly never heard of it before.
Personally I would not throw out all your ash trays, lighters etc just yet, it is known for some people to have 1 or 2 relapses before making the full switch to e-cigs, but again it's up to you :)

I wish you good luck on your journey to quit analogs, and remember to keep calm, and keep vaping :vapor:
