I smoked my last cig earlier today. I bought my first starter kit in May and cut down drastically with smoking. I have one pack left in the last carton I will ever buy. I jokingly told family and friends I was going to put it in the freezer with a note "do not open until your 70th birthday". I have stocked up on my fave juice and have all my batteries charged and ready to go but I'm feeling a little anxious. One day at a time, right?

Thanks for reading, I guess I just needed to get this out and where is a better place than here, with a lot of people who have already gone down this road. :)

Welcome Sara! Don't pressure yourself. You've made good preparations, just take advantage of what you've stockpiled. If you get the urge, pick up your vape and take a hit.

It is "one day at a time". You'll be fine. It took me 3-1/2 years to finally break free. Once I found good gear and good flavors, I'd told myself that I wasn't going to spend any more money on cigarettes. There have been plenty of times that I've wanted to light one up, but I almost *always* have a vape nearby. I've spent a lot of money on gear and juice, and after almost eight months of steady vaping (and over six months smoke-free), I'm not going back.

Just think about how many cigarettes you *HAVEN'T* smoked.... That is just the beginning of the reward :)

There's a thought! Might be worth a bundle by then since cigs would be all but extinct!

Hi yoo!

Why this works so well is we all get to do this differently. That, and the flexibility to change nic levels and flavors to suit individual switching needs. Me? It took me three months to completely lose a 30 year smoking habit. Considering how well all those "Pick a quit date!" attempts went in the past.. I didn't see a problem here.

You get to figure out your own end game. We all do. As long as you have a genuine desire to quit you can get there with vaping.

And if you need any help you already know where to show up! :)

Congrats! Sounds like you made plenty of preparations to ensure success. You can totally do this!

I felt that same apprehension back in December/January although for me it was more like pure panic. One day at a time is the way to approach it, IMO. Each day it gets easier. One day you'll realize you haven't thought about smoking in a while and it will blow your mind. One day you will walk into convenience stores and buy just a drink, pay your $1.00 and walk out without giving a second thought to the boxes behind the counter, without missing it at all -- you'll be so surprised at yourself and will marvel at how that even happened.

Congrats! Its far worse to think about than to actually do it. In truth I still have half a pack of cigs because knowing "I can't" makes me want to smoke so much more. Knowing I can but I chose not to is much much easier on me. How many cig/day were you at yesterday?

I was smoking 5-6 a day (down from 15-20/day) This morning I was walking around like a lost soul. Lol. I didn't know what to do. Grabbed a glass of water and my pv and here I am. :)

I was thinking that. Haha. What if they finally made them illegal or I couldn't find my beloved marb lights at the gas station. I hope when I'm 70 I just throw them out. Could you imagine smoking them and becoming addicted but now you can't buy them anywhere. Torture.

Ty!! :) the first time I quit smoking I gained 60lbs. It was horrible. Not only did I gain but I hated the world. I have managed to lose most of that but at the cost of smoking again. I really hope that doesn't happen this time around. So far I'm in a pretty jolly mood. :)
