This might be a really stupid question...

Hi Guys,

I have only ever used Ego-C, CE4's and Vivi Nova's.

Bought some Boge Cartos to see what all the hype is about.

When I attach them to my YJ-V2-Lavatube I can hear them crackle but I cannot draw any smoke from them. Am I missing something basic here?

Also, when I attach them to my standard Ego battery the smoke seems awfully hot and harsh.

I have got the feeling I am not doing it right.

Can someone please point out to me what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks heaps!

Sounds like your cartos and your lavaube connection isn't allowing any air to flow. You may need an adapter to fix that.

As for the ego, maybe the cartos are low resistance...as ego batteries don't put off a lot of power. I think egos are in the 3.4 to 3.5 v range...not sure though.

I was just typing about that.

It might really be as simple as getting an adapter. Googleing for it again now.

They are SR but they still give me dry hits on the Ego.

Carto's are the first thing I struggle with - all the tanks etc were just fill and go.

I filled to Boge's with a syringe until they wouldn't absorb anymore - then blew the excess liquid out. I doubt they lack liquid.

I might need to find someone locally to show me how to use these things.

This got me intrigued!

The only other thing I could think of is a wet contact...that will give dry cough producing hits.

I tend to fill cartomizers by dripping in the top all around, slowly letting it absorbe it all, until it eventually drips out of the bottom of the cartomizer. Is it possible when using a syringe to fill them, that you may have pushed the needle in low and some areas above the needle didn't get fully absorbed. That seems to me to be the only reason they would have dry hits. Filling them slowly by my method has always worked for me.

You do not need an adapter to use a Boge cartomizer on a Provari :) I am not familiar with Lavatubes.

Maybe I finally have to get one. Just not sure how to explain it to the other half. Just spent $700.00 at AiV and placed an order with HHV too. I think if I order a Provari I get divorced. Plus I couldn't just get one for myself now could I. Wouldn't want to share it!

Well, you don't have to buy a Provari just because you want to use a Boge cartomizer. lol. But if you really want a Provari, they are having a blemish sale for $140 on them and now is the time to buy one! Clearance I actually bought my chrome Provari about 6 months ago as a blemish, but it was not blemished. It just doesn't have the logo on it :)

Yep, me too. My bet would be that he needs to blow out his carto a tad more after filling them. This sounds like wet contacts to me. Wet contacts can gag a man with iron lungs lol
