Just thought I would drop in and let everyone know about my progress. Saturday will be 2 weeks smoke free, cold turkey, with the help of my PV of course. I have had mild cigarette cravings, but nothing severe and nothing that has pushed me towards smoking one. I have been vaping juice I actually like a lot, compared to just dealing with sub par juice the first go around at quitting. I have not needed to use any other quitting methods, like chewing gum etc...

Since getting the new gear in, I have been able to quit smoking without looking back. Day 3 was difficult for me however, and the cravings were difficult to deal with, but I just ended up chain vaping when that happens.

All is good! I have suffered the mouth sores of quitting, my chronic cough which would produce lots of phlegm has disappeared, I have more energy, I can go up and down my stairs at a jog and not get out of breath, and I sleep better. I will however need to drop the PG percentage in new juices I ordered as I have found it causes me a lot of GI upset, especially when chain vaping, and I have also found that I get extremely itchy when I chain vape. I currently use 50/50 mix, and will drop it significantly on my next juice order.

Anyways, that's my current update. I am enjoying vaping this time around, and I can't imagine going back to the nasty cigarettes. Thanks ECF!

Awesome! Keep it up! It just keeps getting better and better. On Monday it's week eight for me. I know some people new to this look at people with years behind them and feel like if they have less time it's in some way not as good as those that have more time.

It's not true. it's great to see those that have lots of time free of ciggs bc it shows that out can work. But the first few days/Weeks are the hardest. Like any addiction it's one day at a time but unless you use wtas you already have detoxed past most of the chemicals/alkaloid in ciggs. So now it's just a straight nicotine dependency. That can be tapered off fairly easily if you choose.

Best of luck on your journey., don't hesitate to ask questions if needed!

Thanks for the support everyone! I can't wait to report back on my 1 month and so forth. The benefits of giving up cigarettes are immense, and I don't know why I ever went back to them in the first place. I feel so much better, I can taste my food, smell the new blooms on the spring flowers, and I can run around with the kids without needing to stop and catch my breath. I was diagnosed with COPD and as of now, I have not had any symptoms of the disease. I'm hoping by my 30th Birthday in September, I will be at 0mg nic as well. We rock!
