WOW, I think I posted my first new thread about an hour ago. Just came back in to the site to see if I had gotten any response, but I cannot even find what I posted. Maybe I am just not tech savvy enough to use this site. Seems very complex when you are a new member. Between icons, fonts, stickies, smilies, quack, quack, quack...I am lost. I was really looking for a site to correspond in a simple, concise and efficient manner using basic, English language punctuation. I'm wondering if I'll be able to find this post in an hour or two. Now I'm thinking that I need to post 5X before anything activates?

Your first post and replies is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/526452-new-member.html#post12200142

It is a little intimidating for me too, but the guys with ball bats have not come to the door and spoken in whispering voices yet. On the contrary, everyone has been so nice I feel like a pest. I ask - they answer and I have another question immediately. You (WE) will be fine.

I already received enough clarification to make a solid money saving choice on my first two setups. I would have made a really BAD choice without the assistance that came within the first 30 minutes from two very nice people. Then about 10 more in the blink of the eyes. I read the link info over and over, looked at the pictures and weighed the pro-con things and decided. Went to town and SAVED a bundle over what I THOUGHT I was going to "TRY".

WE are lucky to have been given a helpful bunch of people who don't mind helping the unknowing (well I am unknowing anyway). Hope you get comfortable over time. It's a bit easier for me already. GO BACK works well! Like an eraser for me.

Tom

EDIT: I see I was too slow giving you that link ....... too slow typing and too many words! I tried!

In any discussion of ECF you have to factor in how enormous it is. It's been running since 2007 and has 12 million pages on the sitemap. The biggest problem we have in running it is where to put stuff. The bigger a place like this gets, the more separate forums you need, and the harder they become to find.

The best way to think of ECF is that it's like a large city. There is no way you can pitch up in a new city and know where everything/anything is. Finding out is the journey. Sooner or later you'll probably find a neighborhood you like. Hang around in New Members, and take a quick peek out every now and then. You'll find it easier once you are ready to move around more.

And to carry the city analogy forward: Stop strangers and ask for directions. Like you just did here! :)
