Ok so im checking the tracking on my package....

And i see the following...
2009-11-08 19:21:00 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA USORDA Arrival at Sorting Center
2009-11-08 19:22:00 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA USORDA Handed over to Customs


So those of you that have been through this.. what's the deal?

So those of you that have been through this.. what's the deal?

it sits in customs for a while and goes through unless you lose the one in 10k or so lottery and your's gets really examined...99.9% sail through no prob, you're lookin at 2-3 days approximately or less before it goes to mailman for continued shipping/delivery. Could be more cause christmas is here and they gotta be swamped.

Don't panic about "handed over to customs" thats standard for all packages

I saw that on tracking once and it stayed that way until three days after I got my package.

USPS tracking is a joke. And a bad joke, at that.

I recently had a small ems sipment stalled at JFK customs for no good reason- for 16 days. I had 5 other ems packages sail through fast with no prob. the stalled package arrived, was not opened in the least. I have no good explanation other than it's hit or miss. even is a package is ever confiscated, etc. They will send you a letter to that effect within a week or so.

Yeah don't sweat the tracking; as soon as it shows up as "handed over to customs" I stop checking...

EHHEM anyway, I hope customs are fast, I got 100ml juice and some beautiful wooden and pink penstyles stuck there in customs and some blue manual ones on the way, hope its worth the wait

Ive waited 6 weeks now for a juice order from one supplier in China. Says in transit.. Wow.. I'm not doing that again. I'll be happy if I ever receive it.. Im sure other suppliers might have better service.

Good god... that's a longass time. Maybe it got lost. Longest I've waited was three weeks, and that was only during the Chinese national holiday...
