Trying to find a relatively uncomplicated, easy to build, quality made rta that'll last. Single coil, good airflow and vape production.

I've been scouring reviews etc and think I have it narrowed down to the JuggerKnot MR or the Gear 24mm.

Anyone have experience with both that can shed light on why one is better than the other? Or another that competes with the two?

Thanks!

I have a Gear RTA clone, Juggerknot Mini (plus a couple well made clones too) and more recently Juggerknot MR. The gear clone was trashily built, but enough to try the format and I wasn't terribly impressed; I like the more recent Druga RTA much better which is similar in size but produced better results for me. Only real con I came up with for Druga RTA is that they didn't put a spare top cap gasket in there, as the top cap doesn't take any standard o-rings.

I wouldn't give up my single coil juggerknots for either though. They produce great flavor with none of the hassles bottom air has always had for me (mainly vape residue building up and making a mess or outright leaking after filling if wicking wasn't perfect.) After more than a year with the Mini, I'm extremely pleased with the switch to a top fill format on MR (with slightly more saturated flavor), plus they actually did include a spare top cap gasket. The airflow is slightly restricted on MR compared to Druga RTA or that clunky gear, but I find it to be just enough for the 3.5mm coil I've got in there right now. Neither Druga RTA or Juggerknot MR came with a 810 to 510 adapter, Gear is 510 only, if that is important to you at all.

They are all pretty straight forward to build on, though Juggerknot MR has a postless deck with side-by-side placement instead of an offset for opposing legs which can be a pain if you've never done it before, but not a showstopper.

Hope that helps some.

I've got a Juggerknot Mini RTA (older version of the MR) and a Gear RTA.

They both produce fantastic flavour and are relatively easy to coil and wick. Once I got a Juggerknot (JK) Mini RTA, my Gear RTAs got shelved.

Because the Gear has such a short chimney, it does get warmer when chainvaping. But that is also why you get good flavour from it. The main reason it got shelved was compared to other RTAs, for me it was a juice guzzler - even with the 3.5ml bubble glass.

The Juggerknot Mini is one of my most reliable RTAs. Being top-air, it doesn't leak, and since the newer MR version has a top-fill - I'd definitely pick that first, over most other RTAs.

I use a 2.5mm id coil with 4mm legs in the JK Mini, which if the tails are cut short doesn't need any thinning. For a 3m id coil, I slightly thin the tails.
