Thoughts on the Alien Mod by SMOK?

I have been reading about the Alien 220W mod by smok and I really love the design. A friend of mine just purchased it and he's very happy with it. I have yet to see it in person but from the pictures it looks gorgeous, especially the OLED screen.

I have an IPV6X which I bought three weeks ago and I am thinking of selling it and buying the Alien Mod. Do you guys have any experience with it? I've read about a couple of issues and I would appreciate it if you can tell me about them:

1. The OLED screen scratches quite easily. Is that true?

2. The mod scratches quite easily, just like the screen, and you end up with scratch marks and scuffs all over it after a short period of time using it. I have an old Kangertech subox which is also black and it is heavily scratched even though I take care of my products.

3. The firing issue. Do you have any complaints with the firing mechanism?

I have the smok alien and I couldn't be happier. When u buy it the kit comes with a screen protector make sure u put that on there cuz the screen does get fine scratches easily but nothing u would notice without the right light angle. The fire button works flawlessly with 2 different ways to electronically lock it.. all the modes seem to work with no issue. I've only played with wattage and tc mode but no complaints. I'm not a huge fan of the baby beast although whatever it's a quality tank that comes with it. All in all I give it 9 out of 10. I really like the dual battery reader on the screen and all the different display options.. and not to mention I've put 4 different tanks / rda / rta ok it with no issue at all. Great mod for the price!

I'm vaping on mine as I type this. Whats not to like?

• shorter and slightly fatter than a SXminiM but sports 2x18650's
• big bright screen
• fire bar

Mine has a Lemo2 mounted with a TI build in TC mode. It just works.

I wasn't so sure about the fire bar before I got mine but I love it. It seems so natural compared to pushing a button with your thumb.

Im really liking mine. It has worked flawlessly, no issues whatsoever.

It's a great all around device but keep in mind that it does not really output 220W. But most people will never need to vape as such high power so you should be good.
