Alright, so I just started using an e-cig about a month ago. I started off with a Kanger T3s clearomizer and an e-go c 1000mah pass through. I am having an issue that I can't seem to resolve and I thought maybe someone might have some insight. I am having issues with my T3s being to loose. If I was to hold it vertically, the tank feels completely loose on the threads of the battery. I already went through the "aw crap I tightened it too much and pushed in the battery pin" experience, so after fixing the pin, I screw it in until it fires, and then a half turn for good measure. I am afraid to tighten it anymore because I don't feel like pulling the pin out every time I want to vape, but the looseness is killing me. I feel like my tank is going to fall off. I was thinking about Teflon plumbers tape or maybe purple thread locker. I know I shouldn't block the vent holes, but is there anything I can do to get a better fit without over tightening it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/info.

I'm thinking if you bought it from a good shop they would be real. Some have scratch off serial numbers you can check on the website.
If the threads don't look damaged it should be fine. My Kanger tank feels super snug on mine.

My kanger was really snug when I tightened it all the way, but then I ran into the pin problem. It seems like I either tighten it till it isn't loose and push the pin in, or I tighten so I don't push the pin and it wobbles. I've tried to find a happy medium, but i just can't get it to feel solid unless I tighten it too far.

Kanger T3s have their logo etched in the bottom silver ring. (All mind do.) Knockoffs look just like the real thing, but no loge. Knockoffs are sloppy. I know first hand.

Okay. Mine have the etched logo. I'll try the Teflon tape today and see how it goes. Thanks for the input.

Can you return the batt under warranty? If not, I don't see any reason you could'nt try the teflon tape on the ego threads(big outer threads) if that'll help.

Teflon is pretty much an insulator... if you wrap the threads it could very well insulate the head from the battery leaving it non functional...

Prefight Donut is an awesome name. ;>

I find that threading them on until the base touches the ring, then a quarter turn after that eliminates the wiggle without risking overtightening. Pretty much just at the point where any wiggle goes away. If it feels like you really have to crank it down before that happens, I'd see about switching the clearo first, just to see if you get the same result, and then the battery.

You could also check that the tank isn't wiggling in it's own base, rather than on the battery threads. Just a thought.

Okay, I think I found something that works.

I grabbed an extra o-ring from the shop I work at and put it on the battery. Not sure the size of the ring, but it is a standard black o-ring a little bit larger than the threaded end of my e-go. It sits perfectly on the "shelf" (for lack of a better term) under the threads. Now when I screw on the t3s, I can tighten it down to a point where it won't wobble without pushing the pin in. The o-ring seems to be filling the small gap between the bottom threads of the T3s and the battery threads nicely, and it is not causing it to hit any differently.

I'll see if I can't get some pics later for reference if anybody else has these problems.
Cheers, and thanks for the advice.

Nice, I can't believe I didn't think to suggest exactly that. ;>
