Three days of vaping Ego-T

Overall not bad experience. I learned a lot. Haven't had an analog since i opened my e-cig package from janty three days ago.
Now i want to share some negative points. I wouldn't recommend ego-t to a new esmoker, since both of my atties already producing that nasty burnt flavor. That burnt smell is probably worse than cigarette smell. I'm suspecting it could be a few reasons - when i smoked i stopped inhaling after i release the button, but now i noticed that button still alight for a second or so and producing smoke which probably just condensates inside of attomizer. So now i stop inhaling after led goes off not after i release the button. It could be the juice - i bought three types of menthol juice (also from janty). It's not thick, some darker some lighter, but it could also be culprit as i learned the additives that clog attomizer, not the juice. I also didn't wash the tanks i just topped them. I also didn't take the cap off - i just stuck bottle nose in a hole and squeezed juice inside. Tanks didn't leak. EGO-T is great idea, but just unfinished.

In any case i ordered some Dual Coil Cartomizers 5ml. That should be coming next week. Hopefully they will make my e-smoking experience a bit easier. Also some normal ego atties from that cabin shop in china. Not sure when it will come.

I tried washing in boiling water one atty. Didn't really help. Another is a bit better since it doesn't produce that much burnt flavor, actually it doesn't produce almost any flavor. Smoke production and th is good. So i just need them to last until the next supplies comes in, but i'm already thinking about something more reliable than that. Bulli is mentioned all over the place and seems to be very dependable. It's just that i don't generally like tinkering, but it looks quite simple. Just my thoughts. I don't know yet where should i go from here.

Probably due to poor wicking. Not enough juice feed to the coil leading to burnt juice or too dry. You'll get the same kind of smell when you do dry burning when cleaning.

You can adjust the wick inside or replace it with silica rope strands, if they are available at where you are from. You just need to take out the metal bridge part in the middle of the atty. Alternatively, while waiting for your new cartos, you can try using needle to poke a few times into the hollow part of the needle to allow more air flow and juice flow.

By the way, don't use it immediately after using boiling method. Have to make sure the wick is completely dry if not the juice flow will still be bad as the wick is saturated with water. I let mine dry for a few days when i use this cleaning method. Hope it helps.

Just get some cartomizers, fill them up, don't vape them dry and burn them. When they don't work well any more, grab a new one. They are refillable, but still considered a disposable item.

The atomizers could have become fouled quickly because of the condensation. Even when you let off the button and the LED goes out, the coil needs a second or two to cool. During that time, vapor is still being produced. I always liked to draw on mine for a few seconds after I let off the button. Otherwise, the chamber is full of vapor that goes to waste.

Considering the sheer number of people who have and do use that device, I would say the main issue involved here is the same thing many of us face because vaping is still in its' infancy - a lack of good guidance. Of course, the solution to that is the collective wisdom of the people here at ECF.

Yeah the wick must of moved. After some use it can happen by pulling and putting the tank back on, also by twisting the mouthpiece to line it up with the battery button. Once the wick moves to high or too low its not the same anymore.
When i start getting a burnt taste i use a toothpick and gently push the wick thats in the spike down ever so slightly and vape until i no longer get that burnt taste but if one pushes it to far down it will not wick properly then.
This works for a while until the coil itself starts to build up to much residue and then needs to have the spike plate removed and everything cleaned properly, i do this with mine but its not for everyone to do which is understandable.
I like to tinker , but since you do and if you like the type of device another atomizer would be needed.

Yes i have to agree. I waped a lot in these 3 days. Long drags and i guess a lot of condensation was left inside atties. I was smoking ego-t like regular cigarette only with a button. Somehow i messed up and missed the part about being self conscious about pressing the button and the end of the cycle. I don't use soft silicone tip. Not even sure of it's function.

I decided to boil that one cartridge with baking soda solution. I'm standing it upright only tank side facing down. Water bubbling through the top. Hopefully it will help.

I've been using mine for about 3 days now too & have some thoughts (Keep in mind that I'm a noob):
-The flat sides of the tank should be lined up with the flat sides of the wick holder regardless of the battery button position in order to maximize airflow.
-I have been used compressed air from the battery side of the atty to blow out excess gunk. I tried yesterday after thoroughly cleaning with Q tips/tissue & was surprised at how much more the compressed air was able to remove.

enjoyed my ego-t for a couple of months. then it just tasted plastic-y no matter what i did. went back to analogs for a while. hoping the fluxomizers that are coming today in the mail will help me get back to vapin.

I'll use your tip about tank insertion. Do you use compressed air cans for using to clean dusty computers?
