I am really new to this.i just purchased my first vape yesterday. It is a s1000 I don't know if they are any good but that's what they had. Lol I had a buddy of mine set it up and the very first hit had a really harsh throat burn. I changed the juice to see if it was the problem but it wasn't I can't even take a decent hit without my throat burning bad. Like I said I am new to this whole thing. I am trying to quit smoking. My buddy has a cool fire 2 and I can hit that no problem. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is it just not a good vaporizer? Any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

Im just about as in-experienced as you.... but I have found that holding the button on my pv down for a second before taking the hit and taking a slow hit with very little force minimized the "throat hit" I was getting. May help.... Experienced people, is there anything wrong with "priming" the pv by holding down the button a second or two before putting it to your lips?

No, nothing wrong with doing that, though it's not really priming anything, it's just heating up the coil and liquid that's on it a head of time, it's not doing anything to bring more liquid to the coil.

Ok so you have a purely mechanical mod with some sort of s1000 X9 protank style atomizer. Did it come with spare coils for it or did they show you the coils? Im trying to ascertain if they are actually the same style or some other randomness. All I can really find are crazy chinese suppliers selling the kits with little to no info in bulk.

Side note - please get a quality charger and batteries STAT. Also a multimeter or something to use until you learn where you need to stop using your batteries. You can not use them until they die and recharge in a mechanical set up it does not have the circuitry to register as dead. If you over discharge the batteries they will be toasted forever. The ones it came with are of no loss since they are unlabeled no named and questionably unsafe.

Honestly - we can try a few things once we figure out the coils in that tank, but it just may be a crappy tank.

ETA- Are the coils identical to this: Kanger ProTank & Evod Coil Replacement - 5 Pack 2.5 ohms
