I can’t seem to get a throat hit on any of my DIY stuff no matter what I try. I have mixed at different PG/VG percentages and nic levels up to 30mg and even tried including PGA – still nothing. I have flavors I really like, but not the throat hit that makes it satisfying.

To compare, I get a throat hit off of 18mg pre-filled cartomizers and a decent hit off of several of the 11mg pre-mixed flavors I bought. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

BTW, today marks 2 weeks without an analog after 15 years of smoking. Very happy day for me (even with this little challenge)! :)

I'm vaping some incredible homemade Cinnamon Pear right now (Recipe from Redgirl, incredible) and its hitting like a semi-truck. Usually an increase in PG over VG will up the throat hit for me (I rarely if ever use PGA). I'm curious what kind of PG and VG you are using? Who makes your flavors? So many variables here.

And congrats!

I use Seedman Commercial (tob506D I believe) for my base tobacco flavor, at about 15%, then add just a couple drops TA. Commercial by itself is just slightly sweet (not overly), to me, and the TA rounds it out nicely. Seedman's available directly from Seedman.com, and I believe BlueMist (though I could be wrong there).
