Im a reformed 15 year pack a day smoker, who quit a couple of weeks ago when I started vaping. Ive been vaping cigarette flavor 24mg, and Im getting amazing throat hits from it, just as good or better than I got from my real smokes. Im thinking of investing in a different flavor, like, I dunno, some sort of pie or something, but all I can find is 18mg tops.

What is it that gives me the throat hit? Is it the flavor or strength? Is it possible to get a throat hit from an 18mg key lime pie or will I feel like Im in a candy store picking out jelly bellies?

Hey triplxratd, I just got my first pv today from puresmoker, an ace kr808d-1. All I ordered were tobacco flavored carts with it, but I got a bonus sample peach flavored 18mg cart as well. Hold on a sec... (takes excuse to try the cash's blend)... Mmmm, that was good. I'm sorry, what were we talking about? ;)

If anything, the Just Peachy felt like it hit a bit harder/harsher than the cash's blend. Maybe I'm a bit de-sensitized at the moment too... or maybe its the different sensation caused by the sweeter flavor -- like my body anticipates more pain from something that tastes like smokes. Hang on again... (tries just peachy again)

Nope, Just Peachy definitely "hits" a bit harder, but I am definitely less sensitive to it.

When you get your 18mg grape, definitely come back and let me know, I don't mind experimenting but would definitely prefer to spend on something I know I'll like. By the way, where did you order from?

Hey Triplexrated,
I just recieved some new juice in today, like you, I have only had the cig flavors 24mg since I got my 901. I ordered the grape ape 24mg from nhale.com, it for sure has a grape smell and a bit of grape flavor but the throat hit just isn't there. I don't know about the other flavors I ordered yet, I will be trying them in a bit. I'm thinking about adding my 555 to the grape to see if I get a better throat hit. I guess it's all trial and error until I find something that works.

PGA = pure grain alcohol, also known as Everclear (don't know what you call it north of the border). Can add extra throat hit by adding up to 10% to liquids; starts to diminish the flavor and vapor from there. High-proof vodka can have a similar effect.

Nicotine is what really lends the throat hit. It's somewhat subjective how much a person feels the TH of 12mg, 18mg, 24mg, etc. but it does increase with nic content.

Certain flavors, like menthol or cinnamon, can add to the throat hit too. Even minty flavors seem to help (to my wussy tastes).

Adding some alcohol to the juice sounds like a wonderful idea! My drink of choice is tequila...anyone ever tried that. Thanks for the great ideas...Ill report on my grape tequila vape once Ive done it... =D
I've heard Bacardi 151 does a nice job, especially on 'tropical' or dessert flavors. Others report that flavored vodka works well.
Since sugars caramelize and gunk up the atomizer, it's probably best to avoid liquor with much sugar content (hence the vodka/everclear preference).

Grape tequila? I can't stop thinking "dimetapp margarita".

I've had a couple of flavors, apple and grape, surprise me with good flavor even though they weren't my favorite tastes.

I love the taste of cherries but in nic juices it always tastes like cough syrup to me.

Lesson learned: I'm no longer afraid to try things I don't think I'll like. Then again, my fridge is full of experiments waiting for the day I'm out of everything else. :)
