I've been vaping since 10/10/13 & have not had one analog since that time. Using Kangertech T2 1.8 ohm Clearomizer, 1100 mah Battery. Was using 70 PG 30 VG and loved it - enjoyed the throat hit. Juice used is Menthol and occasionally RY4, 12 mg. Had no problems whatsoever until about a month ago. I was vaping one day and believe I got a "dry hit" (if I understand what that is?) ... vaped and felt like it burned my throat on left side. Since that time, my throat - mostly on that left side hurts off & on every day. At times I feel a burning or cold sensation to the left ear. Occasionally it is both sides, but usually just the left side. I switched to a 60PG/40VG mix and it seemed to help a little, but still having the problem. Would using a different (higher) ohm coil unit help? I only recently learned not to vape like I smoked (immediately taking into lung) - I was vaping just like it was a cigarette. By reading on this forum, have learned I should not be doing this. I then tried taking it in & out nose - think that may have been when the ear thing started, along with the left side sore throat. I should add, since developing this throat problem, I no longer have the desire for that "strong" throat-hit that I did before - afraid it will hurt or do damage.

Any advice? Could I have damaged my throat when I took that dry hit that burned? How do I prevent that "dry-hit" (if that's what it was) from happening? I was gun-shy for awhile after that happened. I truly have no desire for an analog and don't ever want to use those things again, but need the nicotine. I was only smoking about 5 per day for the past few years (many years ago was over a pack/day) and I don't vape a lot.

Thanks for any advice.

HHV offers all of their products in 100% VG. I take it you're using a different head in your tank by now. Depending on the device you're using, the ohms might be a little on the low side.

I'm still using the same equipment I started with. I believe I can purchase coil units for my Kangertech T2 Tank. The CC Clear Cartomizer Coil Units also come in 2.2 and 2.5 ohm - I'm using 1.8 ohm now, which is what originally came with it. Of course I have changed coils, but have used the same size. I'm assuming the 2.2 and 2.5 ohm's can be used with this tank? Would that make it a cooler vape? Thanks.

I can't take the PG and it took me like 6-8 months before it became an issue. For about 4 months I was completely fine. Then I started to get a slight cough and hoarseness toward the afternoon (after vaping all day). Later on, I started coughing so bad at night before bed (after vaping all day) that I had trouble just getting to sleep because of this terrible hacking cough. I smoked the 100% VGs but going from 70/30 to 100% VG isn't easy for me. The VGs are too bland. However, I didn't cough with those. For now I'm just lowering it to 50/50 and going to go from there.

Good luck! Might as well try some VG and see if it helps.

Thank you! I haven't coughed at all. I didn't start with the sore throat thing until I got that dry hit that burned the instant I vaped it (think the coil went bad or dry??), and the throat/ear thing comes and goes. But thanks for letting me know it can take awhile to develop a PG problem. I do have some 50/50 juice that I'll try, I've already switched to 60/40 a couple weeks ago. Actually when I first started vaping, 70/30 worked great and when I tried 50/50, it felt heavy on my lungs - no idea why. I seem to tolerate the 50/50 OK now, tho - I think! Thanks for the info!!
