Hi, been vaping for 12 years now, but think now is the time to quit. I'm totally addicted, as much as when I smoked. Started to get a wheezing in the chest. Not sure if this related to vaping, but quite concerning. Anyone had a similar experience?

Anyone any tips on how to quit?

My Biggest suggestion is to not hold your e-Cigarette. I know that sounds Stupid. But a Lot of people hold their Mod even when they are not hitting on it. Just pick it up, take a hit or two. the Put it Down.

Same goes for when you run errands. Don't carry it in your pocket. Leave you e-Cigarette in the car.

Your trying to break the Habit of having an e-Cigarette in your hand. When you Smoked it was easy. Because after 10 or 12 hits, the cigarette was done. So you put it out. But not so with an e-Cigarette. There's nothing that tells you to put the e-cigarette down.

You also want to get a little more Exercise than you normally do. Like taking a 10 Minute walk after diner. Or doing a 1-1/2 Hour Bike every week.

You can Quit. But Your Need to Quit has to be Greater than Your Desire to Vape.

That's very good advice, thx I've been trying to not use it as much Usually I constantly have it in my hand, but I've started putting it down more and making the gap longer between uses.

Probably worth seeing a doctor.

At the risk of stating the obvious, keep in mind, you can always stop inhaling. Still tastes good and you get your nicotine, but it gives your lungs a break.

If you want to quit then start by cutting down.

I heard a suggestion on ECF years ago, not for quitting but for cutting down. Similar to the ideas @zoiDman posted. Try keeping your vapes in a particular room where you don't spend much time. Living room or kitchen or office or whatever works. That way you have to get up and go to that room to take a vape. If you keep a vape in every room or take them with you wherever you go it's too easy to pick one up, just make it a little more of an effort. You still know you can always have a vape so you won't get edgy. Another variation is to always go outside to vape.

Also, don't throw away your vaping gear if you do quit, at least not right away. I've read too many sad stories about folks who quit and then need to start again, their vapes are gone so they end up smoking. Keeping the gear would make it easier to start vaping again, but there's less chance of going back to smoking.
