I've tried a little passion flower in the juice; imparts an herbal aroma to the mix. Personally I think Passion flower works better in water though. What did you make?
Lavender, Black Coffee, Jasmine, Cumin, various teas, anise, chives, and am now working on clove, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla bean, and ginger.
Yep. I've made some 'active' tinctures with PGA and another ingredient that I'll leave un-named. I'm sure the savy can figure it out. Works wonderfully.
Are you experiencing any problems with atties clogging, I tried cinnamon and killed an atty in about 3 days.
Not a one, I strain the liquid through a 3 step process. First through a regular metal mesh strainer, then Through Silk, and then through a coffee filter. This method seems to get rid of most of the particulates that would cook.
Soon I am going to borrow a centrifuge to see if I can't further separate out different things in the remaining liquid.
Try googling "reflux still" and you should find some ideas for increased yields when making tinctures.
