Tingly tongue after hot sauce

So I've noticed this 3 or so times now in the last couple weeks.

when I eat hot sauce my tongue gets tingly and almost a little numb.

Been vaping for about a month now. I'm still doing 3-5 analogs a day (down from about a pack a day).

any idea what it is? Never really happened before.

yeah your taste buds are recovering from smoking damage lol, the tingle and numbness are normal side effects from hot peppers, it can range from a little bit of a tingle to I'm literally burning my tongue (the hottest of the hot). Smokers have a higher tolerance for peppers than non-smokers because the taste buds are damaged by smoking, chewing ect.

That's cool. I normally feel the heat, but I haven't felt (or don't remember) the tingling/numbness.

Cool.. it's working! Now only if I can quit those 3-5 analogs a day.. just hard (after meals and sex) to give up the real thing.

because it does cause the tingly numbness along with the heat the oil of peppers (capsacin) is used in arthritis creams.
