@Smoke_too_much has given you some great advice. Do as much as your machine can, as this should help you when/if you are looking for a new model; you'll have a better idea what you're looking for then. New gear can be expensive, but it need not be if you don't have the "Latest-and-Greatest, Most-Powerful-Mod-On-Planet disease. There is some decent quality gear available from reputable manufacturers at about twice the price you paid for your iJust S which should last a bit longer and tolerate rougher handling. And "backups for the backups" is a good idea, especially if you are just trying to quit the sticks and you might backslide if your mod goes south.
