Hello all.

Been lurking for over a month now. Wanted to finally post my story.

I started all this on 4/30. Bought a 510 kit from Litecigsusa after about 40 hours research on this site. Worked great for me. I was a 1-1/2 PAD smoker for 30 years. Was always going to quit on this birthday, that day ect. Never even tried. Then my daughter was born 5 years ago. But I still couldn't even bring myself to try to quit. God these nasty things have a hold on me. I found myself in the last year not being able to walk up the steps without stopping at the top and catching my breath. Little alone all the nasty other stgmas associated with smoking. I've been at the same place for over 20 years and was able to smoke at my desk when I first started. Now I have to go and freeze or sweat my .... off to smoke. Not to mention the price.

Fought the carts for about a week then tried dripping. Loved it. Then decided I wanted to step up since this seemed to be working. I only have that 1st morning cig since the 1st day. Wow what an acomplishment for me. Still cannot believe it. So after much research I bought a Silver Vein SB. Love it. Now I have some Cisco and Ikenvape attys on order to try. My first step in LR attys is on the way!!

Still learning of course. Love the coffee flavors the most. And some the tobacco flavors. Tried a few of the fruit flavors but not for me so far. Have a couple of these Cannon attys on order from Ikenvape. Hope to see if they will help me develop a taste for these. Also have the 306LR's on order. Have only used the standard 510 attys so far.

My next step I believe is going to be a Reo. I drive 50 plus miles each way to work and dripping and driving is scary. I am currently on vacation and got 10 cartomizers from Ikenvape for the trip. 10hours. They are alright but I really like dripping much more. Any thoughts on this???

I want to be able to walk my baby down the aisle one day. Just tearing up thinking about that.

Thanks to all you folks who have helped me so far. This has been a great place for me on both education and support.

Again, thanks.
James

Welcome to the forum. Quiting smoking isn't easy for some of us, congrats on giving it a go. We sure do get all 4 seasons here in PA. I've done some brutal days on the porch smoking, and can relate. I agree that dripping and driving isn't the easiest thing to do. I've given serious thought about getting a bottom feeder mod myself. I've been using ego tanks for the time being as I have quite a bit of ego gear to burn through 1st, but it's not same as dripping.

tanks do get me by on the road, but I can't say they are any better than decent cartomizers in my honest opinion. I'm willing to work hard to stay off of the analogs with the gear I have. I do tend to like to use strong flavors on the road, so if they get muted a bit, it just doesn't matter that much.

I wish you the best of luck,
Bill

Congratulations for reducing and in time completely stopping cigs. It is not easy to stop a habit as addicting as smoking but being on this site has helped me. I am on this site first thing in the morning and last thing at night. I believe if it wasn't for this site I would not have remained smoke free. Keep up the good work keep your eye on the prize. (walking your little girl down the aisle) :)

Welcome to ECF, 66, and congrats on making the switch.
The reo is a wonderful mod, for sure. I've gone thru several pv's on my journey. They all have worked ok, but some have had issues with darker, thicker juices, or wicking, or leaking, or short battery life, or...well, you get the picture...
The reo has solved all of those issues...it just works...period.
Definitely get one if you can.
Rob, posts them on his site in batches, when they're finished, so they are not always available...but more are always in production. Just have to keep an eye on his site...sometimes you can find one or two in the classifieds section of this forum also.
Best of luck to you.

Thanks to all that have taking time for there words of encouragement. It really means a lot!!!

For everyone else that is new and thinking they can never quit like myself and so many others, just give it a try. You will have failures. Either falling off the wagon, with equipment, ect. Just don't give up. Research your problem on here or just post a question. But remember everbody has an opinion, take all info you can gather into account, and then make an educated decision that you feel will work for YOU. Live with your mistakes, feel great about your sucesses, but keep on vaping.
