Hi Guys,
Ive been using mechs for the last 2 months. Got myself an nzonic, black sting ray and turtle ship mod. I am so tired of watching for battery drop, constantly changing and charging batteries, and using a saftey that doesnt fit most of my mods . Has anyone gone back to VVs after using Mechs for awhile?
Im back on my VTR and im loving he hit and vape. I have no complaints at all and dont really see a huge difference from a mech.

Would like to see if anyone has gone back after a similar experience.

hm. No I guess this has never been a problem for me. When I notice a drop in performance my battery is never any lower than 3.5v and I check my coils periodically for shorts so....

But I guess if someone is used to a device telling them when it's time to change the battery then there could be some paranoia about missing performance drop or something. If you're happy with the VTR then that's really all that matters in the end. I like that mod anyway & would have gotten one if there had been more options for toppers with it besides clearo tanks.

No I am talking about battery drop and over discharge and shorts.

I got past that stuff pretty quick. I set up my coils so they are just a tad hot at 4.2V, I know when the battery is getting to 3.8V by feel and real men don't wear ... wait, sorry, wrong thread for that one

IMO it all depends if it's worth it for you. There's no way I'm going back to low power vaping for my main vape. That leaves the high powered regulated mods. They're interesting now, but I'm not ready to make the switch yet.

I have a Nemesis clone on the way and I only have a Zmax to vape with. The Mrs wanted to take it to work (to show off how big my "mod" was :headbang:  (sorry)) so I used her vv/vw for the day and LOVED it. Just a simple ego style thing that she likes and has no desire to get any fancier. I think that we can go back and forth depending on mood, how cool we want to look, what's charged, and a thousand other factors. If you want to play with your mech, more power to ya. If ya don't, sweet too. I hate the look of the box mods, and I'm gonna buy one on the first because it will charge my cell phone. Couldn't do that with an analog...

I agree Zealous it is mostly paranoia especially have one of my mods shorted . I would also be getting provari if I get rid of my mods and the itaste mini. Ill keep one mod maybe one day Ill give it another shot.

I think you'd probably be very happy with the Provari. I have never had one but I'm not much into vv & I'm a dripper so the Reo was just the way to go for me. But there was one time I did something to my kayfun & my mech gave me a scare when the fire button became flaming hot. But for me that solidified why I like mechs in that I was immediately able to take everything apart & examine it & figure out what went wrong so I could fix it. But one time I had an ego style battery short out on me & there was nothing I could do with it other than throw it away. For me it's just more comforting to know I can disassemble everything & work out the problem vs having to hope the electrical parts don't fail. But then with a Provari you'd be much less likely to have any sort of problem like that & if you did they would fix it for you.

I went from my cigalike eRoll to the iTaste vv3, and yeah I love it, and I know everyone is always ragging on eGo-anything, but I'm about to get an eGo-C Twist 1300mAh a) for backup, and b) for when I'm out and about because it just has longer battery life than the 800mAh vv3. Ok, it might not last long, but I'm getting it dirt cheap, so it seems like a real win/win to me!
