I have a bunch of attys and some heat up less quickly, anyone know which metal heats up the least quickly so I can tailpipe without burning my lips.

If you think the titanium ones are made from titanium I have bad news for you :).

They're all going to be made out of the same metal. Just a different finish/paint on them. The ones that heat up less quickly probably have more resistance and just don't get as hot. That's just due to manufacturing imperfections. Likely due to lousy solder joints. get a delrin drip tip.

Maybe it's the stainless ones that heat up less quickly....

I have only stainless Joye attys from Cignot because I haven't had a bit of trouble with them.

I don't usually tailpipe, but sometimes when in deep thought I'll have my cart clenched tightly between my teeth (why I like whistle tips) and mindlessly suck on it for 6-8 long draws in succession, it does get hot. My trance is usually broken when I start to get that dreaded burnt flavor.

Not a problem though unless you put your lips on the atty.

I have both the 'metallic' and black and haven't noticed any differences in heat tbh. 510s get wicked hot (which is normal for them) and my 901s (which i also have in both black n metallic) are the same (perhaps not QUITE as volcanic though) if Im going for it on them lol. I just use the whistle tip empty carts as a mouthpiece.

All Atomizes/Cartomizers are stainless (talking 510 and like here). Some come painted, some raw. Raw stainless dissipates the heat quicker than painted for obvious reasons, and cartomizers have stickers which really hold the heat, but they all heat up. It would be great to see the shell in aluminum since it dissipates heat quickly, but I have no idea how e-juice and aluminum would get along.

Hey Bluffed!

Is there a significant difference from using a drip tip in terms of flavor etc?

Except for the heat of the vapor (and the atty of course) I don't feel too much diff w/ a dt, plus can't chain vape when tailpiping. Before getting my dt, I cut a cart to a little less than 1/2" to insulate lips from atty and worked ok (could chain vape w/o burned lips anyway).

No difference in flavor that I can notice, I seem to get more vapor faster tailpiping. I've tried a few drip tips and just can't get them to work as well.

I kind of chain vape and since I started placing my lips near the vents, and even a bit below, I don't feel too much heat, especially with a LR atty as I don't have to keep the battery on for very long to get a good drag.
