I was posting recently on another thread that I am a Soldier and under the new surge plan am to be deployed to Afghanistan. I was looking for a mod that would be durable and withstand a deployment. I was getting fine feedback and even a pm about looking at the sb or bb...then received a message from an individual (I won't name him as I haven't asked permission to do so) stating he had many mods and if I sent him my mailing address, he would give me his BB.

I was...still am speechless. I emailed him and he explained to me that this was his way of supporting the troops and passing it forward.

I received the BB today and though am totally impressed with it, each time I look at it, it reminds me that there are genuinely good people out there.

He sent the BB, two 14500s, a 510 atty, 2 carts and a case logic case it all fits in perfectly.

As an NCO, I have spent a long time taking care of my Soldiers. I am still overwhelmed at the generosity of one person, and how it honestly reminded me of WHY I serve in the military.

Thank you.

Rocketvapor, thank you for the offer. I am hoping to have enough attys to last, and have a great friend and also a Vet that sells juice and currently has no probs with shipments to Iraq, so I should be good.

Cbehrendt, where are you gonna be located? We are going to have troops in three distinct areas of Afghanistan. I could potentially be in any of the three so I don't know as of yet.

I'd like to set up something here for our troops who are interested in vaping. Have them tell us what they need and we'll see what we can do. I have a hard enough time keeping an acceptable vape going throughout the day just sitting at work, I can't imagine keeping it going under field conditions. Murphy's Law seems particularly applicable to vaping. We want to help. I think the modders alone will go crazy trying to outdo themselves making something rugged and practical enough to be worth carrying.

I'll keep and eye on this thread.

Can we get a mod to make it a sticky?

If I could I would make this a sticky because of the generosity of one person and honestly my renewal of faith in mankind. I

As for a military friendly model...I know of one company that started something but what the 'ideal' model would be something that was rugged, had a button with an additional on/off switch (don't want it burning off in your pocket or ruck sack).

The ideal model would additionally have a solar charger with USB connection, that could charge the batteries or run a passthru off the solarpanel/battery. Oh, and though I heard it isn't doable, in my 'ideal' world, it would have a hose like the camelbacks where I could have it stored back and just vape from the tube!

Come to think of it, if it is packed away, is there anything out there that has been thought of that could be an extended wire running from the battery to a more 'remoted' atomizer that had a switch right on the atomizer end? I'm not a modder...at least not yet, and know little of current and how electricity dissapates over distance.

Totally agree (and took the words right out my...fingers)!!!
Let's get something permanent for our troops to stay in touch and stay supplied.

And to that modders end...what kind of connections and voltage does some of that gear have? We should be able to power up a few attys while watching the scope 4sure!

As a vet it makes me proud to read something like this. The generosity shown by one being so that someone fighting for our cause can be a little more comfortable can make all the difference in the world. as far as remote vaping is concerned, I would suggest a passthrough with an inline battery. you get the size of the regular 510 (in my case) and the bigger longer lasting battery inline in the PT. Best wishes and keep safe.

It's always great to see generosity, I'll get a few suppliers together and see if we can get something more going for the troops. As Always, our best wishes and prayers goes out to all our troops.

This would be great!

Just like the phone cards that were collected and shipped over.

My sons are both Boy Scouts and their popcorn site allows for you to purchase and have it shipped to a unit - scouts get the credit for the sale.

Maybe some vendors could set up a similar approach or pool to a common site that does that?

I'm an Vet as well. Proud to read this.

Could you imagine how many units (BBs? SBs?) could be shipped to our troops if we all just threw a few dollars in a pool? I'd do $20 or more.

I imagine a kit with a few batts, 5-6 attys, a solar charger in a small case... hmmm...

Please keep this going! I would love to help/donate something too.

KRESH... Thanks so much for sharing this story. There are many who are grateful to our service men and women. I am one of them.

Thank you so much for all you do for our Country. God Bless.

It really is nice to read the posts you all have made. I know that I have several of my Soldiers who are interested in vaping. They have been watching me for 6 months now and finally seeing the benefits :)

The BB that was given to me is my own personal reminder of WHY I serve. I am a sentimental person by nature but this is motivational as well.

1st Brigade, 10th Mountain Division deploys in March for Afghanistan as part of Obamas latest surge of troops there. Our containers leave in the next two weeks.

I will keep everyone up-to-date as I can while deployed.

Thank you all for your supporting the troops. It helps more than you all could imagine.
