Hey guys ... Just looking for a sounding board here. I'm not a former smoker but got involved in the vaping scene to see if I could get my roommates to stop smoking in the house. Since then, I have been mixing the flavors primarily for them to vape while vaping 0mg myself. I haven't really invested too much in equipment myself aside from a sigelei zmax v5 recently. After gifting that apv to a friend, I find myself in need of a new mod. I was thinking that the evic looks awesome but I've heard iffy reviews. The sigelei legend looks pretty neat too but the whole shake weight activation style is a joke waiting to happen. Thoughts guys?

Iffy reviews - Main concern<decapitation> Head popping off if dropped.
This was corrected in revision of the head to include 2 small screws passing through the head to secure it to the control section.

I have 2 eVics, now 14 months old and working fine.

It really depends on how well you take care of or rough you are on your gear.

Where to buy one? Is there a version 1 and 2?

If you are asking about the eVic there is a V1 and a V2.

V1 had the control head glued in, not a good idea. V2 uses 2 screws, much more secure. Easy to tell the difference, the 2 screws are visible on the top of the control head near the base of the 510 connector.

The best price I've found is here Joyetech eVic

Plenty of good experiences with the Evic line.
Plenty of less than stellar as well. Do a search of the forum in general with Evic as the the keyword, thread Titles only and you'll see more than a few issues, most related to the Easy Head.

Me?
I had one, with Easy Head.
Thin material for the body, less then quality machining for threads.
Apparently known issue with the Easy Head struck me as well. Would not charge through the USB and actually continued to discharge the battery while left unused.

Again, known issues but also isolated, not the apparent norm. As an individual voice I would never recommend the Evic. 2 cents deposited.

ETA:Also search with keywords Easy Head, titles only.

Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure if the link was a V1 or V2 but they show out of stock now.

I have an MVP as well, just looking for something different for less than a Provari.

The eVic (I've got a V1 but I baby my gear so I've had zero issues) was my first "big boy" device. After getting an SVD and a host of mech mods (mostly clones, but I've got an iHybrid Pure, and a Richman Hybrid on the way) I STILL use the eVic every day. I use it mostly with a MT3S, with micro coils/cotton that I make myself.

I want a box mod of some sort, but I figure if I'm gonna get a box mod, I might as well go all-in and get a DNA30 of some sort, probably an XPV. Eventually....

I have 2 eVics and have not had a single issue with either.

I use my eVic almost 100% of the time. I do use a couple of spinners with bridgeless atomizers for sampling new juices but for daily vaping its the eVic or nothing.

I should point out I went from eGos and spinners to the eVic so I can not compare the eVic's performance to any other device. I have been so satisfied with my eVic I have not felt the need to look for another PV.

Lot's of info in the link in post 4.

The link is for V2.

I built my 2nd eVic by buying just the head Joyetech eVic control head then buying a couple different tube sets in black and chrome eVic Battery Tube (Black) - OVALE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE (e-cigarette)

I noticed the head is out of stock too. Hopefully just a catch up inventory issue following the Chinese New Year holiday.

My next purchase will be a couple of the 18350 tubes to create an eVic mini.

If you end up buying one and need links to accessories let me know and I'll forward what I have found so far.

Here is a nice addition to the eVic and other PVs 510 to eGo Adapter with Well
It has a well do it will prevent any leaks from getting to the PV's 510 connection and it has a floating (spring loaded) center pin so no worries about screwing your topper on too tight and pushing your PV's center pin in. Also protects your PV's 510 threads since the topper now connects here.

I have had my eVic for a while now and love it! My battery will last me almost 3 days, its sleek and pretty stylish yet powerful enough to meet my vaping needs. I dont need 6V and I'm not into sub ohms and filling a room with excessive vapor. Love it and havent regretted getting it for a second. I am looking to get the black tube for it with the flat head instead of the tapered one it comes with, I think my kayfun will look very nice perched on that.
