To vape or not to vape, that is the question?

Some FSUSA employees went to the AZ Diamondbacks game on Saturday. Security guards were all over us like fleas on dogs about our e-cigs. They kept telling us not to vape in the buildings and that we would have to go in the designated "smoking areas" in order to vape. We had a suite so of course we turned on our stealth vaping.;) As a vaper or even a non-vaper... Do you think that it is fair to kick people out of a baseball game for vaping? There are no laws that you cannot vape inside a building or sports venue and vape is not harmful to others. Would you ever go back to another game or would you boycott? Open to any and all who would like to debate.

I was infuriated when local governments began enacting laws to prevent smoking in bars and clubs. However, my anger was primarily fueled by the fact that the government was telling private business owners that a perfectly legal activity, smoking, was no longer going to be permitted in their establishments. I have long maintained that this should have been a decision made exclusively by the business owners, NOT the government.

With that in mind, in your situation I'd have to side with the owners/management of the baseball stadium: They own the business and manage the facility, and if they want to ban vaping along with smoking, that's their prerogative.

So, yeah, that's my $0.02. Don't spend it all in one place. :D

I recently attended a concert with my husband. There were signs stating that no smoking was allowed in the building. Okay; that's fine. We paid extra money for the dinner before the show, as well as great seats (fourth row). Back to the topic, we were vaping in the building, and a security person asked us to go outside to the smoker's area. Honestly, I was fine with it. Reflecting back, I was able to get through the entire concert without a desire to vape!

I would be happy to go to a designated vaping area but no I won't be forced to go out and inhale second hand smoke.
It's not that I won't hang out with smokers and inhale their second hand smoke or that I believe there's a problem with second hand smoke.
It's that these people believe there is a problem with non-smokers inhaling second hand smoke yet they want to force me to inhale it when I'm a non-smoker because it looks like I'm smoking.
No if they want to force me outside they can provide my own vaping area. And I had better not smell any overly perfumed people or else I will be complaining until one of us gets removed.

This happened to my brother inlaw last week at the Diamondbacks game and I was almost kicked out of the Cardinals game last year. They didn't even give me the option of going to the smoking section. They just told me I was being tossed out for smoking. I told them i'm not smoking I'm vaping after 10mins of arguing and 6 security guards laters and explaining I was able to stay.

Must be a phoenix thing, we don't understand.
