Yes. It is always wise to remove any manufacturing oils and solvents.

Always clean before you use always .

Unless you trust some Chinese worker thousands of miles away to have kept it scrupulously clean - wash it!

I wash all my new attys and tanks. Awhile ago vapers reported oil in their devices. Manufacturers stated oil was in the devices to stop them from rusting while being stored and/ or delivered. Myself and many others believe it was merely a lack of Chinese quality control.

After the protanks with the metal shavings in the tube. I dont even queston it, its automatic for me to wash a new atty/tank.

When in doubt, clean it.

IMO, most gear is ready to use, but I know it's not always true.
