This has now been refuted. As indicated on our website and bottles, all ingredients are FEMA GRAS. My apologies for missing this post originally, its been a very busy week.

For future reference, we do not typically give details on specific ingredients due to the many companies trying to replicate our formulas.

Yeah there would be clones all over the place. After all halo makes the best stuff around.

Thank you Johnny Blaze, that is all I needed to know.

I am a big user of your eliquid, but am very hesitant on using tobacco absolute, as no one really knows what molecules are in it (nor is it FEMA Gras), & I'm not comfortable using things from Bulgaria, for example. I will now be choosing my eliquid suppliers based on their not using tobacco absolute. You've now got a huge supporter here

I wasn't aware if TA was or wasn't FEMA GRAS. Actually I just assumed it was because so many people use it. Nor was I in any way implying using it was inferior due to my limited knowledge. I just personally don't care for the taste of it so I'm looking for vendors that don't use it. After all the great things I've heard about Halo I will definitely try it now. There are many very well loved vendors who do use it. Just a matter of personal preference.

i read in another thread (general e-liquid forum) that only Aroma and Vapelicious use TA. i dont know how true that is but he seemed to have had done his research.

edit: maybe i misread his post (?). also, it was mentioned that TA causes the price of niquid to be much higher. so if the price is still $20 or less for a 30mL, my guess is that its just regular e-juice. again, i havent done research on this, just reporting what ive picked up from browsing around.

hmmm, can't be TA for me if that's the case.

There's just a taste in many that I hate...I've gotten it in bobos bounty and blend 4 by AVE, goodEjuice... several of theirs, a few by prime vaping (not nostalgia, PV4 or some of their fruit and deserts)...but for sure tasted it in last tango.

Those are just the ones that come to mind, and seems just tobacco flavors I taste it in.

Even seem to taste it in BWB ry4 and ejoker, already know I don't like flue cured anything, but It's some other taste I can't pin down...would avoid it if I could.

I am pretty sure it is the taste of TA that I don't like. It tastes nothing like a cig (though they claim it does) - more like grass soaked in vinegar. Many vendors use it and many people love their juices so YVMV.

TA is graded by FEMA as GSFA (generally safe food additive) but not at the highest level which is Pharmacopoeia (USP) grade ingredients. USP additives are the only ones allowed in phamacuticals and inhalers. I know we've been pumping our bodies with all kinds of crap for many years so this doesn't mean much to most people. But I would prefer to stay away from it and start cleaning up my act as much as possible.

I can also add that Halo, NLV, and Mountain Oak Vapors don't us TA.

Deejstuff uses it only in their deejBlend 05 series (regular, cherry, and 3 levels of mentho, Highbrow uses very small amount of TA in our Highbrowbacco-Cigar, Quik Niv uses a tiny bit of TA in all of tobacco flavors, and I'm not sure but Aroma Juice tastes like it uses it also.

Tonight I ordered a large bottle of pg/vg blend of unflavored nic juice without any TA or flavors added. I have heard some like to vape this straight or to tone down juice they don't like very much. Hopefully that will work because this is beyond wasteful and frustrating. It just makes me want a cigarette so bad!

To me, that awful taste in so many is Marlbaro Tobacco Flavor Concentrate from The Flavor Apprentice.
