Wondering if anyone just happens to know... Looking for tobacco flavors with no nutty undertones. I can't always tell by the descriptions. Has anyone contacted vendors to ask questions specifically about their liquids or has it been trial and error? I'm a bit 'over' the trial and error, as is my wallet!!

There are several "no nut" type tobacco flavors but many of them reek of flowers/perfume. Seedman's Commercial has absolutely no nutty notes, as well as Virginia. It's all pretty much trial and error until you find one that works. I love Virginia mixed with TA but I can't handle Seedman's, even with TA in the mix. Taste is so subjective, it's hard to recommend flavors. What I like, you might hate and visa/versa.

That is solo true! I have a lengthy thread here 'tobacco users please...) where I eventually took what people said about straight tobacco with no undertones, compiled/cross referenced, etc. whereas it was a good place to start, it WAS just that!! My pallate and taste have become sensitive. I love backwoods brew, but I don't even like the flavors I USED to love. The adirondack and the Virginia actually have too much flavor for me now. I'm down to just Backo, which others may say doesn't have much flavor. I tried 7 from the compiled list on the thread and really only liked 1, lucky strike from freedom smokes. I have piles of flavors that I just can't/won't use. I really want to try my own at this point!!

Definitely stay away from any 555/3&5 flavorings if you don't like nuts.

I don't like strong flavorings either, I can actually take a 10% flavor mix and use that as a flavoring at 25%. In other words 2.5% flavoring is strong enough for me and I'm talking about Capellas. Give it a try and see if you like your juices again, put 1.25ml of a juice you find to be too strong in a 5ml bottle and fill it with unflavored. Not much to lose if you don't/can't vape it anyway.

If you guys had any idea how many threads/posts I have devoted to the begging of tobacco flavors with no nut fruit perfume sweet or flowers... I just cant stand it!!!! I don't even think I can dilute the nut, the others maybe. I gift and pif, but can never take advantage. I feel alone in the 'no foo-foo crap' stuff!! I'm glad I'm not alone, but I think we are in a small group!!

I totally identify with what you are saying. We'll find it, just got to stay diligent and keep searching.

I had to pop back in to say THANKS!!! to Laura for starting this thread, and steering me to Backwoods Brew. I've since tried Adirondack, Backo, and Virginia. All are great, but I'm now a hard-core Backo fanatic. I've been through two 60ml bottles, so I just ordered a 120ml bottle. I can highly recommend that if you don't like sweet, nutty flavors, try Backo. As a side benefit, it's a light liquid so I find my atties last longer, too.

Thanks again Laura!

I have a version of Dan's ta/seedmans mix that does use tpa Dk/555 however the caveat is I have played with it for three months and finally feel Ive nailed it, for me. I dont like nutty tobaccos myself but I realize that most real cigs do contain those flavors and without them you cannot get close to a real cigarette kind of a flavor. So the trick is... how much nuttiness... is too much nuttiness?

Tpa Dk/555 is nutty, but not as much as tpa mboro which is heavily peanut flavored. The plain tobacco concentrate is floral the seedmans virginia fire cured is floral (and absolutely RANK NASTY imo). Tpa Ry4 type 1 is rosey, no caramel over or undertones so I just dont like it. Ry4 Double is nice on its own but its a tad nutty and floral too.

Ill be posting it up my tobacco in the recipes section later today after one more mixing session with my final results. Im already planning on including instructions on how to make it more, or less nutty... more or less sweet, etc. etc. This is version 27 of my recipe and Ive tweaked it every which way I can imagine, including developing a "lights" and "regular" version. Yes, it works well as a base mix too.

Im with ya on not having that nutty component, but imo its kind of necessary to get the right kind of flavor similar to an analog. I even bit the bullet and had one analog marlboro along side of this juice. Its still no cigarette, but its the absolute closest thing Ive ever had.

Then again it could just be me... Ill let yall be the judge.

The ones I have tried with no nut:

Virginia (FA), Virginia Flue Cured (VZ), Virginia Fire Cured (FA - this one was a bit too floral for me?), Cowboy (FA), Burley (FA), tobacco absolute (but again, to me, this flavor taste more perfumey than tobacco), Real Cig (VZ), Honey Flue Cured (VZ), Shade (did not taste like ANYTHING to me), and then you have the other floral tobaccos I don't really like such as Honeywood (FA). That's just my take on it. I normally abhor anything that tastes like 555 (nutty), but I really like the Desert Ship. It's a little nutty, I guess, but not in a gag-me way like the 555's taste to me.

Edit: Also the Maxx <something> FA flavor isn't nutty.

Flavourt art has this chart (does not contain nut info)

Anyway I aint a big fan of the nuts either. Thats also the main reason I try to stay away from most tobacco's. Anyway I read about all the stories about RealCig. Needed to try it .. .Well it is good, but again if you add more flavor, we got nuts, and the more flavor you use the nuttier it gets

I keep trying!!!! AND keep ordering my Backo! I just got an order today of Bobas bounty, had to try it because it was always recommended, even though I knew I would be in for more than just a tobacco flavor. I just tried it, not bad. No nut at least, that gives points for me right out of the gate!! A bit sweet, not bad for something different from time to time, but it's a little too dark. I keep to backwoods brew rating of three or less because it keeps my cartos clean. Sooo... Still backwoods brew for me, but I will occasionally still sample others when I can afford to!!

Just outside my comfort zone.
I can't stand the nutty taste either, I get my juice from Americaneliquide store.com. I use only VG and if tou order from them, and don't like it, he will send you something else for FREE.
