You can try it right off the bat and if you like it, great. If not, let it sit for awhile. I tried my BWB RY4 after about four days and I thought it tasted like an old lady's perfume. I couldn't believe that this was the juice everybody was raving about. About two weeks later, it seems to be settling into a more palatable flavor. Everybody is different though, so there's no harm giving it a try whenever you want and then seeing if you need to let it steep.

When you say sit or steep, do you mean just not using it for a week or more? Or do you leave the lid off and let it sit?

Naw, I don't take the lid off. I've heard that some people do for a day or so, but I don't want to knock it over by mistake or for junk to get in there. I just put it in cool dark place and leave it alone. I have an old wooden box that I keep juices in for steeping.
