Tobeco Quasar Clone Thread Issue

I got a Tobeco Quasar clone the other day and I'm unfortunately having issues with it threading onto my hcigar Nemesis. The 510 connection on the Quasar is a bit longer than my other atties and barely has any threads so once I get to a certain point threading it onto my Nemesis it just spins freely and wobbles around as it has gone past the threads on it. Any one have any idea what I could possibly do to get it to thread down flush on my hcigar Nemesis?

On a side note, which may not be relevant or helpful, it seems to thread onto my Provari and MVP 2 fine though I have not built it yet to try to fire it as I'm thinking about returning it.

Any suggestions you can give are greatly appreciated. I'm really hoping I can get this to work and I'd rather not return it.

I just tried it again and if I push down on the Quasar while adjusting the pin up I can get it somewhat securely attached but it's not flush and a bit lop-sided. I'm not sure how safe it would be to try using it like that as I feel that if I were to bump it a bit it would lose connection.

I think I may have figured out a solution. I ordered a Nemesis hybrid kit off fasttech for like $4 and am hoping I can thread it onto that to use it. If for some reason the 510 on the Quasar is still too long for that I think I should be able to use some sort of washer between it and the hybrid adapter to get it attached securely and sitting flush. If not then I still have a hybrid kit for some of my other drippers and I guess I'll just use the Quasar on my Provari, it just looks too nice to return.

There's a few things you can try. First, try using a drip tip o-ring on the atty's 510 threads, some people have gotten good results trying that. Second the Hybrid kit comes with a plastic spacer (washer) for just that very reason. Most people don't need to use it.

I have the same problem with my nemmy and my tobeco quasar. I basically gave up on that combo. The tobeco quasar just doesn't have enough threads for a nemesis. Weird really.

Where did you all get your Quasar's? Is the Tobeco made version the same one sold by FastTech, or are they from 2 different manufacturers?

I got mine off ebay from Plant Of the Vapes for like $20. They lowered the price to just under $18 now. I've never tried the Fasttech one but judging by the picture of the threads and insulator it is not Tobeco or Cigreen.

Just an FYI that this is how the Authentic Quasars are... and this is generally only an issue with the cheaper nemesis clones.. the threads don;t go all the way down...

I got my hybrid kit today and my problem is solved! It looks pretty slick with the Quasar and my new Magma clone as well!
