Tobeco Trident questions

I got a Trident clone from Tobeco and like it a lot. It is my first rebuildable dripping atomiser. One thing though, the chrome plating is flaking off on the "tank". Is this of concern? What is the material underneath the chrome-plating, is it brass or stainless steel? It's quite hard to find information on that particular questions, it seems.

What general advice can you give for new drippers? How many drops should I put in there when I use cotton? Thanks a lot.

The fact that is was chrome plated would suggest it is not stainless steel.

Well, I am not even sure that what I see is called "flaking off" but there is the shiny plating on most of the "tank" and there is this harsher plating on it, too. However, it has no brass-like colour under it anywhere. The only copper/brass I see is the center pin 510 connection and on the bottom part of the negative post screws.

Is this all good to vape or should I be concerned. I am not sure if copper/brass will leech into the liquid. And even if, is it more harmful than the other things that are in there?

Im careful to avoid Tobeco. Screws in my Tobeco KFL RUSTED. IMO thats dangerous to vape from. I only stick to high quality and authentic products from historically reliable companies, but even that has its risks Sometimes you cut too many corners to save $$ and nothing comes free...
