Waiting on my ego-c kit and can't stand still very excited. Anything I need to know before I get it going cleaning or the such. Any special intructions before first use. Don't know I will try the prefilled tank or fill a new one with the patriot liquid I orders. Wish me luck all and thanks.

Congrats & welcome....Only tiny bit of advice I can offer is to wipe off the atty head as well as you can; primer oil just doesn't taste good. Also, be prepared for a very slight 'pop' sound when you first light it. Other than that - enjoy & good luck!:)

Congrats on your new eGo-C kit, I hope it comes soon! :) I've been happily using the eGo-C for almost 3 months now and my #1 tip for new users is to use a soft, slow drag with it, not a hard, fast drag like is usually done when smoking analogs. Hard dragging tends to pull more juice through the wick than the coil can vaporize, so juice then builds up, flooding the coil and causing leaking. Soft, slow dragging not only prevents that but as with most other juice feeding systems (cartos, etc.), it also results in more vapor production and a warmer, more flavorful vape.

Here's a few other little tips -

* Don't fill the tank all the way to the top, leave about 1/8 inch air space.
* Make sure you insert the tank fully. There's a little shoulder on the tank that should .... up tight against the top of the cone.
* When starting to vape on a new or refilled tank, first do a dry drag or two (not pressing the button) and check to see if a couple of little bubbles float up to the top of the tank. Those little bubbles tell you that juice has started to wick from the tank to the coil, so don't start vaping until you see them. If you don't see those bubbles, try flipping the eGo upside down and back up again a few times and/or rap it against the palm of your hand, then try another dry drag. Juices that are mostly PG are thinner and usually start wicking after one or two dry drags but juices that are mostly VG are thicker and so can require a few extra dry drags and thumps on the tank to get them wicking.

Finally, I've found the juice in prefilled tanks tends to be pretty bad so I suggest starting with the other juices you ordered, hopefully one of those will really hit the spot for you. :)

I will just repeat the part about cleaning the atomizer before using. I cleaned both of mine with very hot water and let them dry before use, one of them still tasted like crud. I tried cleaning it several times and still was unable to get rid of the nasty taste. I had all but given up and even ordered a few different setups to use with it when I found a thread about using baking soda and vinegar to clean it. After that it has been wonderful for almost 3 tanks. If a good hot water bath does not do it for you be sure to search for that thread and it might help.

I got my Ego-C kit last Friday and I'm loving it so far. Slow steady drags is the way to go. I also find that hitting the button about half a second before starting to drag to heat the coils seems to enhance the flavor. Changing carts is simple and fast. I also found that doing 2 quick hits without the tank cartridge in place works great for getting the new flavor quicker.

Good luck with it.

Really all of that before I can vape sounds like a lot of work right out of box.

i don't own the ego-c i have the ego-t but i *think* they're pretty similar, yours will still use the tank system just has a changeable atomizer? i dont know about the prefilled cartos.
ill give you a quick rundown of what i did with my ego-t and hopefully someone who knows more can correct me or add on:
the ego manual that comes is not very clear. my batteries were already charged my sisters and moms werent, yes you have to click it 5 times ti turn it on. i didnt wash my atomizers or tanks first, i just blew the atomizers into a napkin from the end that the battery screws in to ensure the primer liquid if any is out because it tastes like .... then pry off the hard plastic cap (difficult first time) of the tank, fill my tanks up to almost the top a bit over 3/4 full. replace the hard plastic cap or with a silicone replacement cap if you bought them. let them stew for a bit. then drip a drop or two of e liquid into the needle of your atomizer to make sure the wick is wet, line up your tank to the shape inside the atomizer (my tanks look like a circle with flat sides, as does the base of the needle inside the atomizer when you look down into it) for max flow. give a few primer puffs and away you vape. dont let the tanks get too low on juice wither or youll get a funky taste.
again thats for the ego t sorry if any info i gave is wrong
