Once you blow out an atomizer it is completely empty.

So when you attach the cartridge you have to let it sit a few minutes.
It needs time to wick up some juice and carry it to the atomizer coil.

As others have said, if you have juice you can just drip a few drops on the bridge.
Then you won't have to wait once you attach the cartridge.

if i drip a couple drops of american blend into the atty will it make it taste wierd considering i have prefilled liquids?

kinda getting weakish nasty tasting hits, burns my throat. is it too dry without the primer maybe?
Read my post just above yours, and then read this...

Dry atomizers, flooded atomizers, and wicking
Basically, you want to keep your atomizer happy with plenty of juice, but not too much as to flood it.

A good sign that it's flooded is that it gets a little harder to draw on and you get little or no vapor.
Flooding it, however, won't hurt it at all, and you can just blow out the extra juice.

Letting it get too dry, on the other hand, is not good for the atomizer supposedly.
But regardless of whether it is bad for the atomizer or not, you still don't want to do it.

You can tell it is too dry when it starts to taste like crap.
A nasty sort of burnt plastic type of taste.

One reason it might get too dry is if you burn through the juice faster than it can wick up more.
That is why people experiment with different kinds of filler materials to use in their cartridges.

If you take only a drag or two every now and then, you should be fine.
But if you use these like a cigarette, the wicking process will have trouble keeping up.
There are ways to deal with this, and people have different methods that work better for them.

And of course, when the cartridge is running low on juice, it needs topping off for this reason.

It might, but it is worth it to see if the vapor and TH increase. After that, you can ditch the prefilled carts and try dripping instead.

Just drip about three drops on the atty, put one of the empty dummy carts back on and vape away. When the taste and TH decreases, add three more drops and keep going.

Dripping is really a great way to enjoy the true taste and TH of a liquid IMHO.

You can, but wash it out after you take the filler out to get rid of the prefilled crap. Then blow it out to remove any water. Dripping is awesome and the vapor and TH is better than carts IMHO.

In fact, I'm sitting at work dripping and vaping my eGo as I typed this. Can you see the vapor?

i did already notice that the hits dies down already, am i supposed to add a few more drops fairly often?
You'll probably get anywhere from 8 to 12 drags from around 3 drops.

Some people get a bit more, some a bit less.
Depends on the size of your drags.
And the size of your drops.
:)

If you want to use a cartridge instead of dripping, you'll probably have to use different filler.

This subforum is all about using different filler material for your cartridge...

Welcome to the group. I am also a dripper when I am at home. When I am out and about I use a cartomizer. Which is a combo of atomizer and cartridge in one. You fill them with your ejuice and they last me about 3 cigs worth of vapor. Enjoy the journey and keep posting your questions. Everyone is great to help. Jenn

Yes, you will have to drip every few puffs, depending on how big your drops are and how big your puffs are. I find the double drip to work for me, so I don't flood the atty once it gets going. If you like dripping, look into drip tips, they are much nicer and easy to use (drip into) so you don't have to take the mouth piece off all the time. There are many out there and the prices keep getting lower, I have found some for about $2.50 ea. There are many threads here about drip tips. Glad it's working for you.
