I find that most juices have a candy quality about them including my own experiments. My all time favorite juice is JC's chocolate truffle. The main element my attempts are missing is that dark, deep, heavy tone it has. I'm not sure what that is to even get in the right direction. Is that a tobacco tone i'm tasting? I have some FA virginia on its way and will try adding some of that but if anyone knows better please do tell.
I want to generally get away from this whole candy quality, even on the candy-ish flavors. Much like the choco truffle having a chocolate flavor but doesnt come accross at all like candy. To me it sort of comes accross as a candy accented tobacco which is why i'm going to try adding some virginia. Maybe once i can emulate that heavy tone of JC's i can add that to most of my recipes but is there anything else i should be trying to eliminate that candy quality while still maintaining the yummy factor?
