It seems like no matter what I've tried since this morning after getting my nicotine juice....I get too much throat hit!

I ordered 18mg (I'm a 1 pack a day smoker Marlboro light or B&H). I've tried filling up a new cartomizer with around 20+ drops, direct dripping with around 2-3 drops and in all scenarios it's hitting the back of my throat too hard. It kind of feels like it's ripping my throat out and has a very harsh edge to it.

I'm taking slow constant pulls for about 4 seconds and getting a decent amount of vapor but when I inhale it...it's rough!

I have 4 different juices here....RY4(18mg)....Red Bull(24mg)....Mango(18mg) and Benson and Hedges(18mg). Both the 18 and 24mg are doing the same thing.

The best way to describe it would be a hard pull of an unfiltered cigarette...

I tried taking smaller pulls which helped but at that point I'm getting very little vapor since I'm only using a 510 battery with regular atomizers.

Am I doing something wrong?

Speaking for myself, when I experience what you're talking about it usually means I'm not keeping myself hydrated enuff or I'm getting the vapor too hot or both. Anymore, if I'm vaping, I'm also drinking something to keep my throat moist even if it's coffee. lol. To my surprise and delight, I've found that I like water with (heavy) lemon while vaping. Water and smoking? no, no, no and no. Lemon water and vaping? yep, I like it.

I also use the button to control the heat of the vapor. At the moment, I'm using a 5v PT with a 2.3 ohm atty and I hit the button for about a second and a half on a four or five second draw. I get less visible vapor that way but plenty of flavor and a smooth th. When I'm using an Ego I stay on the button a little longer as it heats slower than the pt.

These things work for me and I hope they help, but we're all different and ymmv as they say. Hope you get it sorted soon and vape on. :vapor:

It's PG and I'm not direct inhaling...mouth first then inhale. I don't think I could handle direct inhaling it, that would really rip my throat out!!

Adding some VG will reduce throat hit. And if your really new and haven't had much experience with vaping, you may be allergic to PG - it isn't frequent but it happens. I find it very harsh myself regardless of the nic level, but I don't think I'm allergic to it. Try some 8 or 12mg ejuice on next order.
