OK,
I bought cheapo 'health e-cigarette' to try this. I have tried everything to quit smoking - hypnosis, patches, on and on. This intro to vaping makes it clear that vaping will probably work for me but not with this product.

Sooo.. what to get? I read all the intro stuff recommending a 410 system, the raves about the Boge Leo, watched youtube vids, like hours. My need is to quit, not supplement or make smoking better. My son must quit too and his wife wants to quit. My natural inclination is to over analyze everything until I screw up.

So back to the 410 and now what vender, which liquids, batteries, yadda yadda yadda.

Vicki at Cignot responded to all my questions and concerns, asked what I smoked, flavors I liked, answered concerns about attys and was wonderful. I just ordered from her and this kind of pre-customer service is outstanding; for all she knew I was talking to 20 suppliers. I know that I'll be happy with buying from Cignot as long as Vicki is there.

PG concern: By the way. What's with people using PG instead of VG? Do you cook with motor oil? Do you fry fish in Quaker State 10w30? Why inhale a crude oil product? PG comes from the same source as plastics, gasoline, jet fuel, and so on (I probably ordered some by mistake with my liquids)?

Thank you Vicki. I am a happy customer who has not even received his order yet.

Blinddriver's first post.

Somewhere in time.

You do realize pg is in asthma inhalers, fog machines, etc. as well, right...............as well as many foods you eat.

Welcome, Blinddriver.

Don't worry about the PG issue. It's what was used in the beginning. It's basically harmless, unless you're one of the few people with a sensitivity or allergic reaction to it. VG was later found to create a thicker, heavier vapor. So some people prefer it. I found it harsher the 1 time I bought juice that was 100% VG. I now buy a mix with 30% VG. Do some research on PG and you'll probably find it in products you use on a regular basis. Good luck on quitting the analogs.

I also like 70% pg / 30% vg

And what is a 410? Do you mean 510?

Or if you mean 401, I vape as one of my ecigs and I would only recommend 401 to an ultralights smoker who is willing the screw with small annoying carts. I am willing to screw with them. But when I want a bigger hit I use a different ecig. 401 does convey flavor and aroma well and it looks real nice - that is what it excels at.

I was like you in the beginning and ordered the Lucky Slicks (a 510 clone) but got tired on the constant battery changes (every 2 hours max) and cart refills (1.5 hours max) and it was an automatic battery system. Even ordered the larger mega batteries and the ten port charger to keep a charged supply of them. Then I read the reveiws on the Janty eGo and recommendations and decided to try that. But then Janty was on back order for the Joye eGo Mega (XL) system and the mega carts so ordered from DragonFly and have loved it every since.

As far as ejuice you just have to experiment and find the taste you want to vape. I have tried several different suppliers but like Gourmet Vapor and Johnson Creek the best (but theirs in PG based).

I really wish I remembered where a particular post on this board was but I can tell you that it was thoroughly explained concerning PG and VG. The post explained that the PG that was talked about isn't the same one that's used in gasloiune and other chemical combustion items. There's plenty of people who come along, see the letters PG and immediately think it's the same as what you're referring to. The man explained what PG was and how it doesn't affect health at all unless you have an allergy the same way a person can have an allergy to a medication that they're taking. In my case it's Sulfa but there's millions of people taking all types of sulfa medications which are making their lives healthier. It's just too bad Ican't remember. Maybe someone else here can remember and explain it to you to relieve your fears.
