Hey guys. I've been lurking here for about 3 weeks and after much research I ordered my first PV this past Saturday morning. I can't believe how fast the shipping was from altsmoke, strictlyejuice and Nhaler. Orders will be arriving later today...2-3 hours from now. I am just dumb founded by the shipping time.

I went and bought a Riva kit from Altsmoke, 2x 30ml Juices (cola and red bull) from Strictlyejuice, and a 1x drip tip and 1x LR atty from Nhaler.

I'm tired of smoking. Been doing it around 8 years now, I am 30 and I want to stop NOW. I feel the damage its been doing. The only problem I have is I am currently taking exams for certain public service positions around the country. So I am studying a lot and did not want to go through heavy withdraws during this time.

I might not be like most, I plan on quiting my dependency of nicotine all together. No more willingly putting poison in my body, I get that enough from the food I sometimes eat. I'm just gonna start weening myself off as I drop down the Nicotine in my selected ejuices.

I remember seeing the Blu ad on the internet around 3 years ago and I knew it was a pretty good concept. Well here I am.

Anyways, I wanna thank this community for the plethora of information.

Being new I learned really quick not to oder 30ml juice unless I try them first because you order something that really sounds good to you but once you take that first vape its like what the hell was that!!! Whats really sucks is when you are stuck with that juice while you wait for some new ones to come in. You can order smaller sample sizes and at least try it and if you dont like it pass them on in the PIF section and start over with a new bunch of flavors that you just traded for.

Heh. You might find it's easier than you think. I was surprised to discover I actually prefer vaping. It's way better than smoking. And I smoked for 40 years.

Once you get into it, analogs taste pretty weak and insipid in comparison.

Welcome to the forums, btw.

The first step is to stop smoking and getting pretty much totally comfortable with vaping. Once you have done that successfully then you can start getting off the nicotine.
That's what I did and it took about four months, and even then I hit a few small bumps along the way.

I actually threw what I had left of analogs out once I took my first hit on the Riva. I can't wait to be there jj2, as you are. Thanks

I think your right. I am fighting a cold that came on just in time last night. Sore throat and everything. I don't know if I'm having a hard time tasting these juices cause of it. They are not as sweet or as strong flavored as I expected them to be. They are doable though. I plan to pick some sample sizes from another vendor soon. The PIF thread is a good idea. I think I will be using that. Thanks.

Two things. First, remember that your taste buds will take weeks to get back to normal. Smoking f^&%s them up something awful, so don't be surprised if you're having problems in the beginning.

Secondly, a lot of juices change over time, (and as your taste buds change), so don't ever throw them out. You may go back to them after a few weeks or months and they taste completely different.

Probably the best thing you can do if you want to commit totally to vaping is mix your own juice. You can get all the items from online suppliers. It's easy, and has the advantage that you can buy small 3ml bottles of flavoring very cheaply, and you can also regulate the amount of nicotine you want to use. Add some flavoring to neutral juice and see how you like it. If you don't, mix in something else, or at the worst, throw it out and you've lost 2 or 3 bucks.

Have a look in the forums here for threads on juice. And on You Tube, you'll find a load of videos showing how to mix juice.

Regarding my taste buds... I hope so. I blamed my grandma for changing her Sopressata recipe these past years. I looked into making my own juices, my goal is quit nicotine all together. So I'll see about this later on. Thank Mac.

Wish you the best of luck! I also started vaping just about a week ago and am finding myself also liking it more than smoking. I tried an analog after a while and it was soo weak compared to the juice I'm vaping. I can't imagine how it's going to be once my taste buds heal up :D Also, compliments on your starter kit, you def did your research and picked a very good set up to start with. You'll want extra atomizers and such so you don't find yourself in a pickle if one dies on you. The LR atty's have a very unpredictable life span from what I've read. The best part about all this is the support you get along the way. The few vendors and folks on the forums have been great so far. Most surprisingly is the vendors I've dealt with. I got an order from FreedomsmokeUSA and the staff signed my invoice thanking me for my order! I felt like it was my Birthday! lol. So again, best of luck to you, and I thank everyone in the community for being so awesome!
