If you look closely the picture it might just be a base/stand the ProVari is sitting on. It doesn't seem very practical to have a screw on base that large.

ETA: Oops! I thought you meant the wide part, not the bottom cap.

Is it sitting on something not attached?

Yeah, was talking about the really wide part..

Possible to solder that onto the bottom, maybe, and still change out the battery?

And for home use, I find it very practical.. :D

Very? Do you really have that much room on your desk (or whatever you have in front of you when you vape)?

What about soldering a bottom cap to a pie tin... ;)

Introducing the all-new Untippable™..

Great for drunks, klutzes and/or those who own a black ProVari & like to vape in the dark!

Just within the past 5 minutes, I accidently knocked mine off the desk to the carpeted floor..

If one were so inclined, a Star Wars ProVarii collection is totally doable.. :D

R2D2: Keep above

Umm.. this is getting a little weird -- and too "coincidental"...

Whether all subconsciously or not, I'm thinking ProVape Dave might be a big Star Wars fan! ;)

:D

My first mod (back in mid-2010) was a custom R2 "Chuck." Artoo lends himself well to this form-factor.

I have been wanting to do #3 to my black satin for a while now...

and really would like to find a way to do number 3, but reversed! all black with polish only on the milled areas.

I'm wondering, though, if that would cause premature wear on the black you leave behind, since it appears wear starts off at those edges & works its way outwards...
