Actually part of the reason I fell in love with Boba's was because it's all VG.

My theory on this is that some vendors "specialize" in all VG and a vg lover should stick with those. The recipes are concocted FOR VG, unlike asking a vendor to make something more VG or all VG.....it's not the same.

I hear vendors adding more flavor to "make" a juice in 100% VG instead of the pg/vg mix it usually comes in, and that makes no sense to me. You have just "changed" the recipe. As well as many other nuances of the juice. Anyone who cooks knows what I mean.

whereas, if a juice was CREATED specifically to be all VG, then it's just better. You want 100% VG, just stick with vendors who have juice recipes that were created this way.

Probably WHY bobas is so well liked. Nobody asks Ben to put pg in there, right? And he's not messing with the recipe to do that, which he would have to do in order to do that.

I could not agree more with this. I'm always a little skeptical of vendors who readily let the buyer customize their juice order for that very reason. This generally suggests to me that the vendor doesn't know what they're doing or they're not confident in their recipes. There are some exceptions, but they're rare.

It's funny when I first started vaping, like so many newbies, I thought juice had to have the tobacco taste. Now, I've found a whole new world by NOT vaping that stuff. As it turns out, its not bakery or mint or sweets that work for me, but "drinks" I really like lime ades, juice coolers and coffee vapes. Wierd!

LOL! My vaping adventure was almost the complete opposite. I had first started smoking pipes and cigars, which led to cigarettes because they were just a lot more convenient. Somewhat ironically, when I started vaping, I rediscovered my love of tobacco! It let me go back and find just what it was about that magical plant that I loved so much in the first place. There are so many great ways to prepare tobacco, and cigarettes have to be pretty close to the bottom of the list. Don't get me wrong, I'm not above a good lime-aid or coffee vape now and then, but tobacco juices from a few select vendors are my staple.

I think Boba's is one of the more interesting juices out there. If you gotta pick an all-day vape, why not pick that one? It's not to everyone's liking, but it's got a flavor that changes constantly, it's hard to define, it performs well, and it's got a teency-weency bit of tobacco flavoring in it :p. Me, I just don't understand the whole "all-day vape" thing and why everyone is so busy looking for one. As cigarette smokers, our options were limited, and pipes and cigars were (or are still) wonderful and added variety to our combustible tobacco experience, but they just don't scratch the itch the same way a coffin nail does. As vapers, we have a seemingly limitless assortment of flavors to choose from, from Crab Juice to Champagne. Is Boba's my favorite juice? No. Is it one of 20 or so juices I will always have on hand? Yes. When I want a really interesting, slightly desserty vape, I go for Boba's. When I want a tobacco, I hit my GoodeJuice or Want2Vape stash.
Hey Tez, I think we may have similar tastes in juices(read ya on the Sweet Tobacco thread) and I'm hoping you could suggest some more interesting,(complex/layered) "slightly desserty vapes". Preferably with a fair hint of tobacco. I love CCs House Blend. I'm assuming it has some NET in it but I'm vaping it now blended with a very interesting pipe tobacco NET juice(HHVs Gandalf) and I think it's AWESOME. I enjoy tobacco vapes the most and maybe I can experiment further with my "diy blends" but I think I just got a little lucky. Probably best to leave it to the experts.(It might only taste good to me  and the juices will change with age) Btw, when I first received Gandalf the other day I tasted a strong coffee element(and so did a friend who was here then)but that has all but vanished after steeping with the cap off for a couple of days. Any way I'd love to get some suggestions. Thanks. Sorry I'm off topic but it's 3:30 here. :)

Hey, thanks!!! That's a big compliment!

Actually part of the reason I fell in love with Boba's was because it's all VG. I had never tried an all-VG juice before (only 70/30 blends up to that point), and I was completely blown away by the amount of vapor. Boba's is probably the most controversial juice out there. A lot of people love it, some are neutral toward it, and some hate it, but it's been out there for quite a while and we're still talking about it. I get tired of it sometimes, but I always find myself coming back to it. Plus, once you think you've got it figured out, it starts to taste different, so it's kind of fun in that regard. I'd say give it a try so you at least know what all the fuss is about. AVE is a great company to deal with, and it should be available again soon.

Good point, Tez. I just realized, after reading your post, Boba's is the only all VG juice I vape now. I used to have several others, but now it is only one.

Well, nomorenails, it sounds like you're off to a great start! Gandalf is outstanding, and CC's House Blend is also very good in my opinion. If you're interested in slightly sweet tobacco vapes, I'd go ahead and give Boba's a shot, and you might also like Gorilla Juice (tobacco and banana sounds weird, I know, but I'm a fan). Tobacco Haze and RYO4 (an RY4 with a darker, stronger tobacco base) from Mom and Pop Vapor Shop are slightly sweet tobacco faves of mine. Casablanca from Backwoods Brew is a classic, and you might also like their Hunter's Blend and Virginia (although FYI, these take a loooooong time to steep, especially Casablanca -- I generally try to give it a month). ePipemods' Long Bottom Leaf is awesome (really interesting flavor with excellent throat hit and vapor), and I think this one's a sleeper but word just hasn't gotten out yet because they only sell in 30 mL's at this point. My current favorite vendor is GoodeJuice, and I would strongly recommend Vita Bella (I can't seem to put this one down), and you might also like Patriot and GJ4 (their RY4). Although I don't have a lot of experience with these guys, you might also like tobaccos from Darth Vapers, Mountain Oak Vapors, and Vermillion River. Vermillion River sends out a free sample plus the cost of shipping, so tough to go wrong there. I hope that helps!

Tez, having only sampled one so far, I can't totally say for sure, but, Darth Vaper's (Vanilla Tobacco) is comin' across like that of a GeJ juice. So far so pleased. I leave space to change my mind, but it is very satisfying right now. (It's probably like several weeks old.)

Yeah, I've got four bottles of relatively untouched Darth Vapers juice that I'm about ready to bust into, but unfortunately Vanilla Tobacco isn't one of them. I ordered too quickly before Eleanor could tell me her recommendations. It was a tough call, but I think I went with their Black Cherry Tobacco (part of me feels like you can measure a vendor by their fruit/tobacco vapes) instead. I've been kicking myself for the past couple of weeks for not ordering the Vanilla Tobacco, though.

It's not screaming VANILLA, which is awesome! Heck, this one has extra flavor and it's not screaming vanilla.

I only got Vanilla Tobacco and Cocobacco, so maybe between all of us we got the whole line covered??? I think I am going full monty with Darth Vapers. Hey, did you happen to get Cranbacco?

Let's see... I got Applebacco, Perique Black, the aforementioned Black Cherry, and they threw in a free bottle of RY4. No Cranbacco, but that one sounds just crazy enough to work! I lost track of which ones were NET's but I believe the Perique is not. Yeah, we'll have to compare notes soon!

Okay, so it's still early on, and only sampling this one, it is becoming increasing less like a GeJ, and more like a good juice. I say that giving full deference to GoodeJuice being a little better than just good e juice. The tobacco is there, but maybe not as full as Nick's. This is not to say I am disappointed though.

I'm the one who asked DV to create a cranberry+tobacco juice; alas, I don't care for it as much as I do some of his other juices!

I've always gotten the Vanilla Tobacco in Extra Flavor (and love it!), but I think next round I'm going to order it in Regular strength (Ted will probably e-mail me to make sure I didn't "forget" to get Extra! :p). I think I may be losing my taste for sweets!

Thanks so much for coming by to drop your top 5. I really do appreciate members disregarding all the side talk and helping to keep this thread relevant toward its initial goal. If you do in fact want to talk juice or vendors, don't hesitate to voice your opinion.

This just in...

Two drops of Vita bella and one drop of Vanilla Tobacco (or vice versa) is a beautiful marriage/duet. It's like Ashford and Simpson. LOL

Eleanor, I want to talk to you....
