Just a quick question here, but I noticed while puffing away on my EVOD VV (clone) this morning that the 'head' (not sure if this is the correct terminology - the coupling between the battery and tank) and the top of the battery were growing warm. Nothing overly untoward (read: not hot to the touch, just noticeably warmer than ambient). A couple of minutes of rest and it was back to ambient.

It doesn't seem like this is a flaw but rather natural heat exchange between the coil and the housing, however when it comes to pointing a battery at my face, I would rather look foolish with a silly query than end up blowing my lips (and expensive orthodontic work) to smithereens and all...plus I'm a little extra paranoid as one of those exploding I-phone links has been popping up over the last 48 hours.

Cheers!

Bingo! That's exactly what it is. As long as you don't feel the body of your battery heating up you have nothing to worry about.:)

Most likely the heat of the coil is heating it, but one thing to be sure of, is that your mod's top connection and the bottom of tank connector are clean. A quick swipe with a tissue, maybe a little isopropal alcohol. If the connection get dirty it can provide part of the Ohms that make up the load when you push the button.
