I have to top off my 510 carts ALL the time to avoid a burning taste. Anyone else have to do this? My atty is new.

The 510 atty is a real heater. It dries out very easy and is a juice hog. I wound up using the blue foam slug. It's about the only thing I've used that comes close to keeping up with my 510's.
If you'll put a drop or so on the atty each time you refill your carts, you'll avoid burned taste (unless you vape the cart too dry).
I also switched from the standard polyfill in the carts to PTB and most recently to AquaClear foam for filler. Makes a huge difference in wicking.

Most pet supply stores have the foam materials (in the aquarium section). I get mine at PetCo (they're also on line).
The constant cart topping is the biggest reason my 510 does not see as much use as some of my other models.
First, if it's new and you didn't blow out or rinse out the shipping fluid that is likely the taste. If you did then one mod that works well is the straw mod:

This allows you to get more in the cart by allowing the juice to drop down and air escape.
