I want a new mod. I do not like the telescopic options to date so looking for a (I think you call it) tube mod. Currently I am looking at the Stingray Mod or a Nemesis. Both seem like great mods and I really like the looks of them. I am still unsure about the atty for it, guess it depends on which mod I choose but it is a choice between the Ithaka and the kayfun 3.1. Does anyone have both they can comment on, or experience with either?

I would get the Kayfun if your not an experienced builder as it's much easier to setup. As for the mod I think the stingray is easier to find and is amazing. Phantom brass all the way.

Just looked to see if in stock yet and it now says the Kayfun 3.1 is discontinued. Guess second option is the SQuape. This is getting to be a pain to get a good setup. SQuape is not in polished :(

The mods I have been looking at are all 22mm, the Aqua would be a winner but it is only a 21mm, the Taifun GT is a 23mm, the SQuape is 22.7mm... Is there anything like the Squape, Kayfun, Ithaka that comes the same size as the mod and will match it?

Maybe you should watch Ithaka build video to see if it is for you.
Kayfun is 22 mm.

building will not be an issue for me, in fact I look forward to building everything I own. The thing I want most is for it to match and look clean together. all the hybrid mods I have seen are more a genesis style and that is not what I am looking for.

Do you have other suggestions for sites other than VapeRev and VapeUpUSA? I am not finding much in stock... Personal preference... I want the real deal not a clone.

Don't like 21mm origin?

I think it is a slim beauty.

@ emus... what tank is that?

the top one is the Kayfun 3.1 delta that is discontinued right?

Tobeco KFL clone.
It's a sleek clean fit on the Nemesis.

The origin hybrid set up is streamlined and smooth also.
Both are great, but I would pick the Nemmy just because the Origen switch assembly is overly complicated.

I own both the Stingray and a genuine Nemesis matte, since the Stingray showed up it's all I use...don't get me wrong, the Nemesis is a fantastic mod, but it can't hold a candle to the SRay in a couple of areas, better switch with a much shorter throw and magnetic, innovative top cap air flow design, floating top pin that works with any attie and doesn't require any fussing...and has extremely low voltage drop. There's a couple great reviews on YouTube, check Scott Bonners (igetcha69) his reviews are well respected and very detailed. Here's mine topped with a KFL+...it's a rock star.

As far as the attie choice...and anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, the Ithaca requires a combination of both resistance and non-resistance wire and is a real pain in the .... to build, even the guys at my local shop that build all day hate building them, and charge triple the price to do it... not the case with the Kayfun.

I don't believe any of the Kayfun models are available polished from the factory, I polished mine on my bench grinder/polishing wheel using SemiChrome polish, I doubt you could do a quality job by hand...and it would take forever.

If you do it yourself on a wheel, install the middle metal tank ring, obviously you wouldn't want to do it with the plastic tank installed. Hope this helps

Thank you very much, I do have a polishing wheel on my grinder for polishing cam journals and valves (I was an auto mechanic). I have jeweler's stick polish on it now, will that work? Cannot believe I did not think to polish it myself.
