I have had a halo sampler sitting here for ever. I tried a few drops of all of them, then put them back to steep ( thought Halo says they are ready to vape and will slightly change in the first 48 hrs) Then I ordered another one to get a sample of Tribeca and put it in another drawer. I completely forgot about them, until now. So I have 2 sampler tin2 of Halo's Premium E Liquid Im going to go through and at the end I will have to have some kind of contest for one sampler in 24mg. Today is Torque 56. I have heard a lot about this one from some of that tobacco and throat hit purist. Sounds like a kick in the teeth. Im rolling a fresh cartomizer and my Bartleby (3-7v) So lets take a hit and see what we got
Flavor, First hit. Sandalwood. Its a really clean really crisp woodsy taste. It reminds me of a tobacco scented cologne my friend used to wear. Its a little weird that it taste like a cologne smells, not its not like taking a mouthful of cologne. I have had a lot of tobaccos have this scent/taste issue, but this one seperates taste from smell enough to enjoy it. A few draws in the flavor mellows and its like a mild cigar, really smooth and a little sweet. Its not candy sweet, just a faint hint at the back of the tounge and at the end of the inhale. The inhale starts with the crisp, sharp, woodsy taste. It sweetens a little as you pull it into your lungs, ar maybe the woodsy taste fades, but either way it mellows. The hit is similar to a wet cigarette, the flavor hits little more than youd expect as most flavors fade in the back. The exhale is like a little cigar, really smooooth. The great part is that it leaves a aftertaste of a cigarette, your taste buds feel a little dull but the flavor hits the top of your mouth. Its still got the semi sweet woodsy taste, but it really reminds me of a havatampa mini cigar, if you took just a half hit off of it.
Throat hit, a very good analog imitation, hits nice but not harsh, so light cigar taste with a light cigarette hit. Very well done Halo
Vapor production. The more reviews I do the more I want to leave this out, but since this isnt a video review people want to know what they cant see. The vapor is pretty standard, or a little below, but truth betold I fine lower vapor to mean better hit and flavor for tobacco juices.
Aroma, I would wear this like aftershave. but the exhale leaves a more smokey (but not very smokey) tingle in the nose, I think I enjoy the smell almost as much as the flavor
Overall I taste crow. Im not big on mass market e cigs, so yes I was a little hessitant to try halo. Most mass market tobaccos I have tried tasted like crap, but I was wrong. Torque 56 from Halo changed my mind. Well at least Im looking forward to my next couple days of reviewing. Thanks for reading
