Your cig a like will soon be your backup. And on a long enough time line they will become irrelevant. First things first , you need to get them and start somewhere and go from there.

Also where did you get your juice. Does it have nic ? How many mg?

Got my juice from canada e juice online with a 16mg nic content

I started on an Ego with clearomizer.
After reading the benefits of VV (Variable Voltage) I went and ordered an Ego C Twist, which allows you to vape between 3.2v and 4.8v.

The difference is black and white.
Maxed out you get a lot of vapour and a lot of throat hit.
However depending on your tank / clearomizer and your juice you can get burnt hits on top coil tanks.

I have found the sweetspot for me to be around 4.0v.
For a cheap clearomizer I would recommend the Kanger T2s or the Iclear 16s.

Very simple, great flavour and affordable.

I also have 2 Protank 3s but not overly impressed with them which was a shame.

Im also new here but hope I helped!

I have also now ordered an iTaste MPV2 with iClear 30 B which I am hoping will be a pleasant upgrade from my twist :)

WELCOME! Itried the cigalike about a year ago. It didn't work for me. It felt like sucking a thick milkshake through and impossibly small straw. BUT some people like the tighter draw because it resembles a stinkie hahaha. I would recommend a pen style ego. With a twist battery or not. I started off with this on the right:

I got 5 times as much vapor out of the pen style then the cigalike. It's all personal preference though!

Then moved to a vamo v2 and just recently went to the setup on the left which is an innokin iTaste SVD. I LOVE it! He MVP 2.0 which was mentioned above is basically the same thing as the SVD but it has a built in battery, pass through capabilities (can use it while it's charging), and if in an emergency your phone does (USB plug of course) it can charge your phone! My pops has a mvp2.0 and can't put it down.

HAPPY VAPING!

I started on blu a few years ago. It helped me quit cigarettes, but I wouldn't say it was pleasant. Flavor was ok. At the time the vapor production seemed ok, but not really satisfying, I hated having to carry around so much crap and swapping batteries every few hours ...... me off. I was stubborn, stuck with it, weened off in about 3 months. I kept it around to cover cravings.
Moved in with a smoker 6 months ago and knew blu wouldn't cut it. After tons of research decided to go ego-t upgrade with passthrough charging 1300 mAh with 1.8 evod tanks. I started to enjoy vaping. I liked the tighter draw on the evods. I also got a vivi nova which I'm pretty happy with, but it's huge on my ego and not a great travel companion. That was all 6 months ago. I bought a vision spinner 900 mAh (my vender was out of higher mAh) a few months ago, but honestly could have done without it. In December I picked up some mini pro tank 2s, and those are good. Hard to move from the evod because I liked the plastic tip and the tighter draw. I've adapted to the mini pt2s now though. I wash my tanks in scolding hot water and that melted the glue on my evods, don't have that worry worth mini pt2 because there is no glue.

I got my brother inlaw to switch form chewing a few months ago. He picked up an ego starter kit with 2 ego 600 mah (or something like that). I told him to go with higher mAh, but he didn't listen... He's always got one on the charger, and has to switch batteries every 4-6 hours.

As things go, I've got my first mod in the mail (SmokTech SiD for $45)! It may be just me getting used to them, but I feel like my egos don't work like they used to. It's cheaper in the long run to get a mod and replace $10 batteries than replacing ego batteries at $30 a pop (for half as many mAh). I'll hang on to my egos because they travel really well, but I'm excited to get my SiD!
i vape because I enjoy it. I've dropped nic level to low, but have no plans to quit any time soon.

Anyway, I think you can't go wrong starting with an ego. It's pretty low maitnence. Fill the tank up pop it on the battery and go. Charge your battery when you plug your phone in at night and you are good to go. You want to replace your wick and coil periodically, but on the knagers that's super cheep and easy. It's always good to have a backup setup, but my ego-t upgrade with passthrough charging has given me no problems. Pass through charging is good for long car trips.

Vaping is different than smoking. It's not a clean switch. But stick with it for a few weeks and you will adjust. I think you'd have MUCH better luck with the ego though, IMO.
As far as juice goes, try different venders. I've found different vendors use different bases for their flavors that make some taste funky. Most juice vendors have sample packs where you can get 3-5 5ml bottles for a decent price. I personally stay way from b&m juice, just because I've had bad experience with most b&m juices... They are handy in a pinch though!

Happy vaping and good luck kicking the stinky habit!

New here and relatively new to Vaping. Started with small and very quickly realized Variable Voltage, Variable Wattage was the way to go. The difference is incredible. Juice I tried in a Kanger Pro Tank I had planned on throwing away. Later I tried it in a completely different set up Zen Atty Pro and a Provari....it was like a completely different juice. Ask questions, try different set ups. Check out a local vape bar/lounge and taste some juice from different devices.
