Well there are a lot of possible replies to that. What are you looking for/ comfortable with? And budget? There are great customizable inexpensive passthroughs- even with variable settings. There are devices that are amazing but require a lot of knowledge and experimentation to find your favorite set up also. I started with dispo ecigs, moved onto the cig-a-like models and now I am using a passthrough (Winder V 1100mah with kanger Evods). I will continue using that for work and out on the go- but I am eagerly awaiting a Vamo V3 that I ordered and trying to find a "more serious" piece for my other half. He is an amazing contractor - however NOT technologically inclined. So choosing set ups for him has been rather difficult!!! Fill me in on some of that and I am happy to try and point you in a few directions that are hopefully helpful :)

Baditude has a great resource on the carto/clearo/atty questions, and you can find it here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...k-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

Ego style batteries are probably in your wheelhouse. They fit your price range, easy to use, and can offer excellent battery life.

As for which gives the cleanest taste, you will get a different answer from most people. Your best bet will be to experiment with a little bit of everything. Let us know what else we can do to help!

so which brands use clearomizers?
the short answer is: all of them. An ego battery will accept clearos, cartos, and atomizers so long as they are 510 or ego threaded (510 threads are inside the connector on the battery, ego are on the outside). Most attachments are ego or 510 threaded. FYI, the orange battery in the link I sent you is an ego style battery.

Diamondexterior, I'd probably start with an eGo style battery with variable volts so you can dial in your flavors. I'd go with a Joyetech Twist, Vision Spinner, or a Smoktech Winder. All of these are good and cost about $24. Now, as far as tanks go, buy a few because you'll be experimenting with a lot of flavors, I like the clearomizers (tanks) as well and I'd go with a Kanger eVod, iClear 16, or Kanger T3. You'll need an eGo charger as well. You can get ALL of these items at DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo. As far as juice goes, I'd try Halo, Mount Baker Vapors, Namber Juice, or Ginger's eJuice. Look for a few flavors and give them a whirl! Welcome to the forum!

If your budget right now is $60, that pretty much eliminates most mods. But you can definitely get a nice setup in your price range. Just make sure you get more than one battery. You need a backup for when your first batt is charging. As far as clearo vs carto, i prefer a bottom coil clearomizer. It lasts longer than a cartomizer, and you don't get dry hits like you do with top coil. But again, its totally subjective.

I am also very new, have watched probably 100 videos on youtube, and I am still very confused. I ordered a vamov3 and a bunch of tanks, but they are literally coming slow boat from china. I had 2 cheap plastic clearomizers, and one just broke because I neglected to see that there were reports that the liquid I bought was known to damage plastic tanks. Guess I gotta wait for the slow boat to arrive to taste more of that delicious arnold palmer fluid.
OK to try to answer from my limited knowledge,
-Grimmgreen on youtube is a great start, and then you travel down the rabbit hole and see all sorts of reviews.
-Ordered some fluid from mtbakervapor - very fast shipping, really tasty - my very first order for anything vaping related, received it this morning, very happy about it.
-Ordered the Vamo and a bunch of tanks from fasttech on the 20th, no idea when it will ship, no idea when it will get here, no confirmation email from them, no thank you, no boohooKMA. Time will tell I suppose.

Been at it a month, thats all I know, hope it helps

DiamondDexter, I ordered these as starter kits for my daughters and sisters....http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=5...&afftrack=&urllink=www.fasttech.com/p/1368502 they are a better set than I started with and at that price you still have a good amount to spend on samplers to find a juice you like. I know some recommend a VW to start with but I have never missed that feature...I do strongly recommenced going with the bottom feeding tank that you can replace the atomizer. I am a newbie and will wear out what I have while finding my favorite vapes then upgrade to higher end equipment.

I think this kit would work great for your first starter kit. And you can buy other style Clearos, or cartomizers if you want. It's cheap, and has everything you need except some juices to go with it.

eGo 650mah CE4 Kit

That looks like a solid starter kit for you, and it leaves you plenty of money to try other delivery devices and get some e liquid. I can only suggest companies I have experience with, and taste varies, but take a look at heathersheavenlyvapes.com and mtbakervapor.com . The latter has incredibly low prices and might be just what you need to get a kick start into vaping.

okay sooo....i can only have one flavor per tank? you cant clean or wash them out? is that why i should buy multiples?

You can wash them out and change flavors, no problem there. As for why have multiples? Vaping supplies are fickle and you ALWAYS need backups. Also, you may want to swap between flavors several times a day, makes sense to have them loaded up in separate tanks.

I have found I want to change flavors often during the day so I must have at least 3 tanks ready to go. With the bottom feed tanks they are a breeze to empty, rinse blow out and dry to reuse. I had problems with the top wick kind as it too forever for those long wicks to dry....but that was learned the hard way.....extra tanks are strongly suggested (as well as batteries). I killed my tank (top feeder with long wicks) and did not have a backup...ended up asking on FB if anyone local had a spare and that was how I switched to the bottom feeders...Angels do exsist

Yep, you want backups for everything. Its a lot at first, but once you get yourself set up, you can literally vape on $25 - $30 a month if you want. All you need to buy on a regular basis is juice and cartomizers or replacement heads for your clearomizers.
