I need to know what to get for a chain "vaperer"??? Still not used to the term. I've tried the blu starter kit and a couple of local brands, so I'm sure I'm in way over my head here. I've tried to read a few articles but I don't understand the terminology. I have in order a South Beach Smoke starter kit but everyone seems to speak highly of the Joye e cigs. If you could please explain, in layman's terms, what I need to get that is decently inexpensive for a pack a day smoker.

First things first...head over to the library and read thru the 6 part pictorial introduction on personal vapers...this will give you a beginners knowledge on where to start

The ECF Library

for "chain vaping" you want something that is a "workhorse" that has a large battery and has a head on it that holds a pretty good amount of juice...the culmination of technologies has led to the development of the MVP2 which may not be the "top end" of vaping gear but it does MORE than all of them combined thus far
Innokin iTaste MVP V 2.0 Brief Introduction

But there are MANY steps alot of us went thru before we got to this point, the above walkthru will show you
Also just recently came to the realization that eGo batteries ain't all that bad

I use a simple ego type battery and a protank 2. My first was a "knock off" ego and a clearomizer (that holds the liquid). Still works fine and I'm also a chain vaper. You can find tons of reviews to watch on youtube or keep reading here. Tons and tons of good info in ECF. I buy some things from discount vapers. Good prices, fast shipping, goooood people. Here are some of their kits.

Baditude has some good recommendations for beginners here.

I usually recommend either an Evod starter kit or a Mini Protank starter kit to newcomers. They each come with two batteries (the more expensive kit has variable voltage), two clearomizer juice attachments (the more expensive kit has glass tanks), a battery charger with wall adapter, and some replacement coil heads (these need to be regularly cleaned and eventually replaced altogether). After reading Baditude's guide, these terms will make more sense. This is pretty much all you really need to start other than juice. (The same or similar kits are also available from other sources, such as Discount Vapers.)

These units I recommend are "eGo-style." They're larger than cigarettes (they're about the size of petit corona cigars, which are still quite small), but they have longer battery life and more versatility than kits that resemble cigarettes. In the long term, they're usually much cheaper than kits that resemble cigarettes as well. Overall, it seems most former smokers find these a lot more satisfying, making it much easier to quit smoking cigarettes.

The next step up would be a "mod." Baditude has another great article here about what that means. WarHawk-AVG has already recommended the iTaste MVP, which is currently available for only $40 in the United States. It's a good deal for a great unit about the size of a box of smokes. Because the MVP has an internal battery and comes with a charger and juice attachment, the only thing you'd need is juice and (eventually) replacement coil heads. (At some point you would also want a backup unit of some kind-- such as an Evod kit, another MVP, something else entirely-- just in case it gets lost, stolen, or broken.)

You can also learn more about juice attachments here. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

As you can see. Basically no one here will recommend any kind of electronic cigarette that looks remotely close to a real cigarette.

Power is of the essence in the world of vaping and as they say in Spiderman: With great power comes great bigass batteries.

Keep researching and you'll be an expert vaper in no time.

I smoked 2 pad for 45 years. Read lots on ECF and bought the Myvaporstore kit with 2 1300mah spinners and evods. I also bought a protank (glass) and a 510 dripping atty. Love them all and still using them 4 months later. You will need extra heads. I just bought an MVP2 and love it. Battery lasts almost 2 days of chain vaping. The variable voltage makes a big difference for me in the quality of my juice taste.

Welcome to ECF. Do some reading here and read some of the reviews on the devices you think you are interested in. Don't buy from Fasttech or China for first setup, they are having shipping issues and you may wait a month for something.
