you won't be under 100 bucks but i am 1 week into being smoke free and i started with a Reo Grand.

its as simple as filling up and vaping. you have no idea how stoked i am to have started with it.

it literally is changing my life.

Nothing wrong with a Reo, I have one in my hand right now. But, $144 for just a mod, and still needing batteries , charger, etc,etc is a bit much to be spending when you don't even know if you will like vaping yet.

Canuck, have you looked into Vapage's Vmod 2.0 or XL? I started with the Vmod a month ago and am loving it! Best of all worlds really. Consistent vapor, quality construction, long battery life and plenty of juice on board. Came highly recommended to me by a couple of good friends and it's worked for my hubby and I. No regrets!

I'm new to the forum and somewhat new to vaping, but I thought I'd put in my two cents worth. Ex-PAD smoker, tried BluCigs off and on but they wouldn't cut it, then a coworker offered to advise me on a setup- the eGo-C 1000mAh, so I smoked the last one in my pack and ordered it. It was great for the first few days, then it started to get finicky- flow issues, draw issues, leaks, lack of satisfying vapor- almost bad enough that I was going to buy another pack of smokes, but I decided to try some more atty's and cartos and they did the trick, namely a dual-coil and a Vivi Nova tank. The other day I got a plain low resistance atomizer and have been dripping, and it's just heaven; nothing else tames the beast quite as well, so much so that I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a REO VV Grand, and I'm not even a month in. But, to the point, the eGo starter was a good intro, and the batteries are useful, but I found it in it's stock set-up to be inconsistent; when it's good, its really good, but it could fail me when I needed it. If you get one, I'd advise that you buy a couple different types of atomizers/cartomizers to go with it so you have backup options just in case (the one that helped me the most was a SmokTek dual-coil large diameter carto, until I discovered the Vivi LR and dripping). Also this forum is 100% pure gold for information and good opinions/ideas.

Hey Strat! I just did the same thing. I kinda forced my self to get back into dripping (Carto-tank fan). I ordered a long barrel HH.357 from Avid and a good ol' LR Joye 510 atty and it's been awesome!

Oh and welcome to ECF BTW!! Lots of friendly peeps here...so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Thanks, Dev; and that's exactly what I got, and I couldn't recommend it enough. If I'm sitting still (at my desk or at home) then the Joye 510 LR atty's what's on the eGo-c, and the Vivi is for while in the car and out-n-about.
From what I can tell from various threads here, bottom-feeding most closely replicates dripping (other than a complicated drip set-up), and as much as i keep wandering around the different BF mods, I always seem to end back up at Reo's, just wish i didn't have to invest so much on a, for me, untested delivery method. But they come so very highly rated I feel I can't go wrong.

Yeah, I don't think you can go wrong by scooping up a quality built mod. I picked up a Buzz Pro for my first mod about 2-3 months in. Apparently the Reo and Buzz share the same chip too.

I'm definitely eager to learn more about bottom feeders and eventually pick one up.

    P.S. - I gotta ask...do you play guitar? Maybe a Fender?
