I saw the ad a little while ago and saw this.
"Totally-wicked new 510 battery... its 100mms long so essentially double the battery life.

I couldnt help notice how they said "essentially" double the life.

has anybody tried this battery

if so does it really have more life I might get it as long as it doesnt have the stupid devil thing on it

I've read somewhere they are 180mAh and 280mAh.

Standard 510 batteries: 180mAh
New 510 batteries: 280mAh

If these numbers are correct the new ones should last about 55% more.

I get about 2 hours from the standards. So, I should get 3 hours from the new ones. Again, assuming the above numbers are correct.

Perhaps it might be a good thing for someone to do some sort of pv comparison chart giving the 'total' Mah available at what voltage and the expected vaping time or even the amount of puffs to a charged battery (or batteries) of any PV ...all too often you read people saying they get 'all day' out of a 150 mah battery which would only be possible if you hardly used it at all.

hehehehe that made me chuckle! true true

I've got two of the TW Titan long batteries.

I've had them for two days, and been using them all day today (they spent yesterday charging.)

Here's what I noticed today:

1. It was great not to go dead.
I am often out and about, and with two short batteries I often go dead. It sucks.
Today I had one in my charger, a charged battery on my desk, a short on the atomizer, and a long battery in my pocket all day.

2. They last longer, but it sure doesn't feel like double the life.
So when I am at my desk, and my 510 doesn't leave my mouth, the double life translates to an hour and 15 minutes vs. the 45 minute life of a short battery.

When I was out and about, puffing here and there I really noticed a huge difference. When a short battery would go dead before long, the longer style battery seemed to last all afternoon.

3. The short batteries appear to keep a more consistent performance.
With the two short batteries which came in my starter kit I notice how great it is to have a consistent drag from start to finish.

The longer batteries are not the same. They begin bright and powerfully, like the shorties, but somewhere around 3/4 power they begin to dull and feel more like a 901. Since it's actually good for our batteries to be "topped up" like our carts, when I've felt this tonight, I have swapped it out. This limits the comparative time I've been able to use the batteries, but it's still really nice.

My observations are preliminary, and may change over time, but these are my first impressions.

two things... they are about 50% bigger so they would have about 50% more run time...

depending on use.. 2 hours will become 3 hours.. 4 hours will become 6 hours and so on..

second thing.. this 50% bigger probably doubles the life time before wear out.. they are not being overworked so much..

basically 180 ma e-cig batteries are being abused and flogged to death.. they wont live long... being 50% bigger means the extra life time is probably more than this %50 suggests..

TW know what they are doing they have good advisers... he he

trog

ps... anyways.. life time and run time are two different things..

ps 2.. its fair to assume they are the same cells as used in a classic style e cig.. just packaged to fit the 510..

My experience... I picked up a 5 pack of the new Mega-Power batteries. I use two e-cigs at the same time to keep the attys from getting too hot. I vape at my desk at work and I am here about 9 hours a day. I don't vape constantly, but I vape a lot.

With the shorter batteries, I could not get through the day with the two and had to use the third one in the PCC and use the PCC to recharge one fo the batteries to make it.

Yesterday, I went all day on the two MP's and all night last night at home. I recharged them overnight and am going again today. They are absolutely great for me. And getting 5 of them for $55 is pretty good to. Thanks TW...
